"Where I Live"

I am ready for my next thing to do it’s going to be
everything new. That’s the opportunity for us each and everyday but
we know that there is a shift that happens in our consciousness as
we prepare ourselves to allow everything to be new. Things will
happen that we do not expect that emerge from our preparing our
consciousness and today’s lesson is entitled where I live and of
course our intention here is to help you to realize that the place
that we live is a place in consciousness. That we begin to move from
living in the outer world to living from within in our consciousness
and watching the world create itself anew according to our
consciousness. We say well how do we get to the place where we
understand that which sounds so esoteric and so far off and so today
we want to see if we can take some steps to deepen our awareness of
discovering this real place from where I live.
Unless your living on earth embodying the spirit into the body and
living it and enjoying and laughing with life and appreciating every
moment you are not living, you are just surviving you are surviving
in duality. Unless you are living on earth embodying the spirit into
the body and living it and enjoying and laughing with life and
laughing at life and appreciating every moment your not really
living your just surviving, surviving in duality.
In the Bible in Exodus it is written every valley shall be filled
in, every mountain and hill made low, the crocked road shall be made
straight and the ruff ways shall become smooth. So we know there is
a promise, a way of life a way to live our life through which the
valley’s get filled in, the mountains are made low and the path
before us is made clear and that way of life is stepping into the
understanding that what I am is consciousness in action. Now we are
just not use to that because were use to this and if our bodies are
in pain unfortunately we have gotten use to that. And were use to
the world telling us what life is as apposed to our living from a
place where we discover who and what I am and that liquid reality is
something that we are constantly changing not by seeking so much to
affect that which is out but from working from within to discover
the authentic action in all that is the without. Working from within
to discover the authentic action in all that is without. That is our
opportunity to shift into this liquid field of awareness
To give you a little history I ministered in San Diego in 1990 to
2001 and from 2201 to 2005 I toured the country doing seminars and
workshops all over the country and for different organizations and
then sometime in 2005 I began to do more work in Oregon as
situations called upon my presence there and we birthed a church in
Oregon which is going strong and many of you know Reverend David
Alexander and in fact he will be with me this week in ministers lock
down. Humility is to serve the needs of others as they see them not
the way that you see them. So this group that I am going to I serve
them by being locked down with them for five days and I have no idea
what Gods doing with me but I will go and one wants to show up in
those situations and be open to whatever the new though is. When i
was in Oregon, the Oregonians are a little made at Californians and
this is an under current of things that happen and they are made at
Californians because we keep moving up there and so when I was
leading doing the authentic thing finding my authentic action and
doing what was mine to do and forming this church a lot of people
would say to me where are you from meaning hoping I would say Los
Angeles so they could have distain. You have got to remember Los
Angeles is the city of the angels.
There is a powerful energy emerging here in our community but the
reason I tell you the story is they would ask me where I was from
and as I was traveling those five years and all around the country
and in London as well as in Mexico when people would ask me where I
was from and my spontaneous answer is the cosmos, I come from the
cosmos. The Tibetan book of the dead says we came from the light, we
put on a coat of skins and we shall return to the light. They asked
what geographical place was I from and I indicated Los Angeles, I
was born with the angels but we understand we are coming into a new
awareness of really where it is that we live. That were not from a
place were from a state of consciousness and when you start thinking
about people you know you actually look at people from there
vibrational perspective, you don’t really look at where there from
Pittsburg or New York, you think were are they vibrating. Oh I know
where you are from, I know where you are coming from, we really do
in our deeper heart of hearts we know we identify people from
consciousness that’s how we know who they are. So our question is
then Ernest Holmes the great metaphysician he said this line, he
said if you put a medium between yourself and God you have to absorb
the medium before you get to God. So if you put a medium between
yourself and God you have got to absorb the medium in other words go
through that medium in order to get to God. So for everyone who
chooses a particular lord and savior as there medium between
themselves and God and I will be it everyone can get to God through
the medium but your going to have to absorb the medium to get to
God. If you put a Guru between yourself and God you can get to God
through the Guru but you will have to absorb the Guru in order to
get to God. And I said isn’t that interesting because God the giver
of the overall design, the giver of direction both the principal and
the presence, God the giver of the overall design and the giver of
direction has already built a system where there’s a medium between
yourself and God and the medium between yourself and God is your own
presence. It is your own I AM presence, your own consciousness, so
listen with the ears to hear. The master teacher said I AM, touch
yourself and say I AM notice he didn’t say I Jesus the holy one
grander than all of thee, never in any scripture is it recorded that
he said anything like that. He said I am the way the light and the
truth and no one gets unto the father except through me. Meaning the
I AM that I AM, I am the way to the highest level of myself, I am
the way and no one will get to themselves through any other way but
themselves. Ralph Waldo Emerson says self reliance is reliance on
God. I am the way reliance on that self is reliance on the I am that
I am born in the image and likeness of God and the way that God has
operated our system is that we have a medium between ourselves and
God and that’s our consciousness. That is whatever it is I am
creating, my consciousness is whatever it is I am creating because I
am always attracting or repelling something I am harmonious creation
meaning the truth of my nature is I’m always creating, I am of
creation, I am of the body Christ, I am of the Atman, I am of the
Nashima and everything that I’m doing is creating something, all the
time. So we have a challenge you see the opening quote is if your
not living in the joy of God, the love of God, the presence of God,
the glory of God then your living in duality and your believing in
duality and therefore surviving in duality So let me remind you
again we are born in the image and likeness of God, a symbol whole,
complete and perfect. We are born in this image and in this image it
expresses this way. Infinitely always eternally expressing this way
in this dimension and this is the inner life the subjective life and
the objective life. So the one life expresses itself as you and me
in this form moving from the inner to the outer and in certain
administrations they are believing in the outer and that the outer
is everything. Therefore let me get more of the outer, let me
control more of the outer, let me control more people of the outer
and very little attention given to the creative capacity of the
inner, and according to the law of “as” as you believe it is done
unto you. As you believe that the objective reality, as you believe
in that objective reality and give it power, it acts like it has
power. However when you come back into balance from the center
point, see we are always creating but can I be the presence of the I
AM that knows who I am, can I walk in balance in the world, can I
walk always knowing the divine center point between the subjective
reality in a world and the outer world, so that I understand that
whatever is happening here, I’m a creating here. I am creating
everything in my consciousness which is the subjective or invisible
side of my reality.
When my daughter was a young girl she decided she had motion
sickness and she was five years old when we started to send her on
the bus to school and she said I get sick in the bus and I told her
that you don’t need to believe in sick in the bus some kid told you
you get sick in the bus, so just believe that your whole in the bus
and she came home from school and said daddy that doesn’t work I
said have you stated I am whole, complete and perfect and she says
yes and she is five years old and is not putting any meaning to it
but it doesn’t matter the words will attract and I said now this
time move closer to the front of the bus and say that statement so
at the next day at school she rode closer to the front of the bus
and she made the statement and she came back and said daddy that
doesn’t work. So I said ok this is what you do, you lower the window
just this much and you sit in the front and you make the statement I
am whole, complete and perfect and you won’t be car sick again. And
she came back the third day and she said daddy that’s works. To this
day when she get motion sickness of any kind all she has to do is
open a window that much and she is fine. Because something within
her could believe that and so at the level of belief, it became her
experience, but what that was she was molding something on the
inside to find what she could believe in on the outside, so that it
would become the law of her life. And it did become the law of her
life and it needed those little adjustments and now she can sit in
any vehicle and be fine and if she has any issue she opens the
window a crack and she doesn’t have any problem anymore.
So the believe will change but that belief is always happening on
the inside, it is always happening on the inside. So what happens is
we say I am whole, complete and perfect and then we look at our
wound. I am whole, complete and perfect oh it doesn’t work! Or we
look and say I am really wanting this persons attitude to change so
we start working on ourselves, and then there attitude doesn’t
change and we say oh this doesn’t work! So once again we give power
to the objective side when the reality is the subjective side is
always creating the objective side The consciousness on the inside
is always creating the experience on the outside and it doesn’t
always move according to your time schedule, have you noticed? But
it does move because it is a law of probability, when the conditions
are right the newest and highest idea will emerge. Our is not to try
to predict when the conditions will be right but to establish the
condition on the inside until such time that it is right on the
inside and then it will manifest on the outside all of the time.
I will tell you a story and I am living in the story right now. My
only living uncle now my mothers brother, my mother passed away
three years ago and my uncle is not a trained metaphysician and he
doesn’t have a walk of faith and consequently when death strikes it
rocks his soul. When his younger sister died it really rocked his
soul and when that happened he made up an idea my mother’s children
killed my mother. Now therefore I would be one of those children and
of course what I know is that this idea that he invented was
diminishing him and hurting him, it did not make me feel
particularly good but it was hurting him. So I opened myself to be
an instrument of compassion and love and hold that whole space
because once my uncle starts to say that he says that to his
children and my cousins start to believe it and now there is this
whole belief on the northeast that the California cousins killed
their mother. This was a thought form and you notice a thought form
can act like the real thing, it can act as solid as a rock and as
long as its believed in it will act as solid as a rock. Oh but what
is the new standard in the new era, the new standard in the new era
is to listen to the self, to follow the self, to trust the self and
to allow the self to be abundant but do you know the new standard is
applicable to whether you have ever heard the new standard or not.
There are new conditions in the world that are responding to
everybody but some are more awake than others. The good news is my
uncle, now here I have been holding this resonance that we should
love each other, we should forgive each other and have lots of
picnics and I have been holding this resonance and holding this
resonance and reiterating my position when my cousins would call and
they would ask what do you feel about this and I said I feel like I
love my uncle and I love my cousins and I miss everybody. I just
kept saying that over and over again, and they asked what do you
think and I said I love my uncle and I love my cousins and I miss
everybody. It has been three years and guess who called to take us
to dinner? Flew out from the Northeast and called each of the
nephews and took each one to a meal and gathered with each one.
Something within him listened to himself and followed himself and I
woke up this morning knowing some kind of feeling was happening in
my body that I had no idea what it was. But a healing began to
happen in my whole space because my consciousness held the position
that we shall love and we shall forgive until we have a picnic. And
we just keep loving and forgiving until were enjoying ourselves at a
picnic, and then all of a sudden we had a nice picnic with myself,
my wife and my uncle because something shifted
What the truth is well oh I tried that and it doesn’t work, and it
like I tried that meditation thing once and I didn’t get it?
Spiritual life is not a something for nothing proposition it is
perfect law. What you put in is what you get out and when you decide
your going to live your life from the understanding that your a
spiritual being you will find you will do something to advance your
spiritual practice. You will find you do something to get yourself
to move into a repetitive practice but you say oh but I hate
routine. Well apparently God doesn’t because the sun rises everyday.
Routine spiritual practice as a discipline, I have been watching
films of the Dalai Lama and it reminded me of what the Dalai Lama
told me when I spent seven days with the Dalai Lama. He says he
yearns to do nothing more than to practice more. What does he want
to do as an awakened spiritual master, practice more, go deeper into
the subjective reality of his life Always knowing that subjective
reality is what’s creating the objective reality. Always knowing
that my thoughts and words and deeds are accumulative, that they are
always doing something. Now do we ever made mistakes, of course we
make mistakes. Have we ever created things that we didn’t mean to
create, of course we have mis-created, because a lot of the time we
didn’t know we were creating even when we thought we weren’t
creating. We thought we were busy doing our own thing, in our own
little world however your own little world reflects out into the
other world because that’s the nature. So we begin to see that the
place that I live is the place in consciousness, we begin to see
that every face I see is the face of God but as I practice that I
need to receive it even as I give it out, and hence we find the
sunga, the way of community, the way of the third appearance that we
each of us waking up to the divinity within ourselves and then
finding a place to practice it, oh my God. Are you bringing forth
the blessing if you are practicing with people who don’t know your
practicing, ask my uncle, do you see? I don’t need to try to explain
to him or convert him or anything else only thing is I don’t want to
answer resentment with resentment because all resentment brings is
more resentment! Oh my god the power is within me, always the power
is with me. Carl Young said your vision will become clear only when
you look into your heart, who looks outside dreams, who looks inside
awakens. How am I being with everything that’s happening? We are
aware that we are a being in consciousness and now we want to know
alright now we have been talking about things all year long, we
talked about the cosmic sweep of love, we talked about the most
attractive force in the universe is this cosmic sweep of love
awakening humanity and the opportunity is to understand this
subjective reality is now out picturing ever more quickly in our
lives, that we begin to hold a consciousness of possibility and it
begins to show up in a greater way but sometimes in the midst of our
pain we might have to mantra quite awhile, I am whole, complete and
perfect, I am radiant vibrant dynamic health, I am whole complete
and perfect, oh no it’s not gone yet, if we stay in the objective
reality looking in the wrong place for power we won’t find it
because its not there, its over here, its in the inner life, I live
and move and have my being in consciousness. Now what about the
physical world Yogananda says don’t think you are too spiritual to
desire material success, your not to spiritual to desire material
success but don’t be so busy satisfying your material desires that
you neglect your meditation practices and your service to others,
balance I walk in balance from the center point the inner reality
creates the outer reality, I’m walking in balance outer is not
reflecting what I mean, I had better move back to the inner. Clarify
on the inner, oh look outer is beginning to reflect what I mean. My
uncle did not stop smiling for one hour and one half during dinner
last night why he doesn’t know why I know why because love is grand
and what he did with that thought form is he withheld love from
himself and he withheld the love that he has to give and that’s the
wrong way to go as we mature. The right way is to give more love, to
withhold nothing and give everything the clearer we are to giving
everything the clearer we will be, always returning to love and who
is the greatest example of the last century, Mahatma Gandhi who
looked at the man who shot him and said I forgive you! Because his
consciousness was so clear as to who he was, he knew who he was and
nothing in the outer world would take that away from him, nothing in
the outer world and that is mastery when you begin to know that what
I am in the inside is the truth of who and what I am. We are
spiritual beings having a physical experience and we did it on
purpose so that we could experience the story but your not the
story, your the creator of the story, your not the elements in the
story, your the ever aspect of the story, you are not the story, you
are the one creating the story and when finally you realize where I
live is in consciousness and I begin to practice with what I think
and say and do.
Brother Lawrence who wrote the book walk with God he says only the
ones who walk with God can possible know the joy of walking with God
and that’s what it is to live on the inside. So when we find
ourselves in our practices of spiritual mind treatment of
affirmative prayer, when we find ourselves in our practices of
affirmation and somebody says oh your so Pollyanna or you find
yourself being positive thinking and they get into crisis and they
look at you and they say well see what your positive thinking will
do with that! And we say back forgive them they know not what they
do, positive thinking it is not positive thinking its consciousness
life. It is not a happy thought it’s a happy way of being. It not
longing for a love to be delivered from the cosmos that will come
when I die, its for the love of the cosmos in this moment now. Its
the face of God I see now, its the consciousness of my affirmation
and my meditation and prayer today. It is where I live and move and
have my being, you can lock me down if you want however I will still
be free because I live and move and have my being in the state of
consciousness.
We are beginning to discover and we are beginning to practice
together that to be home is to be in my consciousness, to be in my
walk with the divine and to without walls with no separation share
it with all. For I really know everywhere I look I see the face of
God and when we can walk from that place in being we will know how
valuable it is to be home and so far this year thirty three thousand
people have come to our web site and its only the beginning because
what I am is what God is And what we are doing here is the
manifestation is the appearance, is the reality is the coming of the
cosmic Christ and its coming in you and in me and there is nothing
so glorious unto God than the birthing of the kingdom in earth as it
already is in heaven and celebrate yourself because you are the
awakening world and what I know is together we are home in a new
state of awareness in the new consciousness in the only reality
there is God. My friends it is my honor and privilege to be with you
to remind you and together we call each other forward into this new
reality and I invite you to think on these things and explore the
possibilities.
