"The Big Picnic"

Today’s lesson is entitled the big picnic and today
as I have already shared with you it happens to be the Pentecost. It
is also May 11th and for those of you who didn’t know it is the
100th anniversary of the celebration of Mother’s day in this country
so therefore those of you who thought Hallmark Cards started the
holiday Hallmark Cards didn’t start one hundred years ago it was
after that so it was a holiday that was named in the US congress to
honor motherhood itself and so congratulations to those of you who
have made it that long.
I want to begin by looking at the principle and you remember where
we have been going in the last two weeks we said I am broadcasting
and I am broadcasting recognizes that all of us are emanating as Dr.
Holmes reminds us so clearly that we are always by means of a divine
law were always attracting or repelling something. And you and I are
therefore sending out a vibration an emanation a tone which is
always attracting. And what were seeking to attract is the life that
we have imagined and of course if you’re going to attract the life
that you have imagined there is something required there. Can you
see that? If I’m going to create if I’m always vibrating something
and that vibration is always doing something its’ always attracting
or repelling something and I’m seeking to attract the life I have
imagined do you see what the obvious piece that is necessary there?
If you’re going to attract the life you have imagined you have got
to begin imagining the life that you mean. Because there is a book
written a wonderful title and the book was called if you don’t know
where your going you will probably end up someplace else. So we
begin to create, we begin to attract the life we had imagined and
Mike Doulie was one of the players in the movie the secret and Mike
Doulie has a web site and he sends out e-mail affirmations and they
are called notes from the universe. Wonderful idea and I recommend
signing up for any of those good positive things just always find
any avenue in which you can get positive things to come flowing to
you. Because if you have noticed if you turn on the radio or any of
the network news or anybody else there are not necessarily
broadcasting positive things, have you noticed? So it’s important
that we create a law of attraction since we are always attracting or
repelling something that we deliberately consciously create
opportunities to bring positive things into our lives. The reason
that I mention Mike Doulie he reminds us that you only need to do
you see we are in a new era which we already know that we are
immersed in a creative intelligence. This one intelligence is in as
and through and around all that I am. It is always responding to the
sum total of my awareness, that sum total of my awareness is always
broadcasting a signal and that signal is creating right now. So what
I’m doing with my consciousness, what I’m doing with my awareness
becomes very important to you and to me. Mike Doulie says that what
we need to work on is only five minutes a day. So don’t walk around
going my house looks like this and my VMW looks like this, no you
create and I would recommend getting away from brand names when
you’re creating. The only reason why is that you limit the divine
that way. You keep telling the divine that you want a particular
brand and that the idea is to create something that you mean in
other words a car is about perfect transportation. A home is about a
commodious place to live and to express your life. A relationship is
about someone or something to share in the sunset with
So we started with I am broadcasting and then last week we talked
about the heart of the matter and the heart of the matter is to
return to forgiveness, it is to return to love. Forgiveness is to
cancel the demands and expectations that are blocking my attitude of
love. And we talked about last week if your born in the image and
likeness of God and God is love then it becomes important for us to
be instruments of love and here we can co-mingle this with an Ernest
Holmes line and the line is in order for us to be in tune with the
one we have to walk with the one. We have to know that there is
always this creative life that is seeking for us to know it. This is
from Ernest Holmes book the Keys to wisdom there must be a physical
universe of form else how would mind or spirit be expressed. There
must be a physical universe of form or else how would spirit express
itself? Because wherever there is consciousness there must be
something to be conscious of. Touch yourself and say I AM, you see
the reason that you touch yourself is to tell your subconscious and
I’m talking about the I AM that is within me and you see I am
conscious and I have an object to be conscious of, do you see it? I
have a body and that’s how I know I AM. I have an object of my
beingness and I perceive things So my perception and since I am a
being in consciousness I have to have something to perceive or I
could not be conscious, do you see it? So we are part of the
universe that creates from itself, itself so that it can be
conscious of itself and you and I are learning to be more and more
conscious of what we really are. To be conscious of what we are as
an immortal birth less, deathless changeless being Now here I am
going to go a little deep and its ok because when deep calls unto
deep, deep responds to deep. Something within you knows and knows
that it knows, something within you can go to deepest levels of
truth and recognize it. Sometimes our brain takes a little while to
catch up but we know that we are much more than our thoughts yes? We
are much more than our thoughts, we have thoughts but I’m much more
than my thoughts. I am much more than my body I have a body but I am
more than my body. And so we begin to recognize that when I start
talking about deep ideas we want to grasp them we want to understand
them, we say I won’t make a move until I understand it, I’ll believe
it when I see it and all of us know that is exactly backwards. You
will see it when you believe it and so we are always working on
getting my subconscious mind, and everybody knows you have a
subconscious mind. You have the part of you that is conscious and
you have these automatic mechanisms that are working for you 2x2 is
5 no didn’t work right? 2x4 is 9 no 2 x 4 is do you see it we have
imprinted within us mechanisms that know. If I say 7 x 7 before you
could enter it in the calculator all of you got forty nine why
because when you were young you imprinted that information into your
subconscious mind and once it was imprinted, one it was received by
your conscious mind its just there, it just operates for you. I am
radiant dynamic vibrant health so we want to impress the
subconscious with I am radiant, vibrant dynamic health we want to
impress the subconscious with I am born in the image and likeness of
wholeness why because these are the truths about me but until its a
spontaneous first reaction of my mind I have to struggle too hard to
get there, have you noticed? Does anyone have trouble with 4x4 being
16? No why because it is a spontaneous first reaction of your mind
yes? So once it is a spontaneous first reaction of your mind it’s
yours and you have it. I am living in a universe of staggering
opportunities but no my other story comes in and say no, no, no
staggering opportunities and it believes something else. Oh you know
Bill Gates can have all the money in the universe but not me and
Bill Gates never sought out to create all of the money in the
universe, he sat out to follow his passion and out of his passion
the money was created and he became the wealthiest man in the world.
Because something within his subconscious knew that if he followed
his passion that this was the new wave of humanity and he followed
his passion and we ushered in a new wave for humanity. How many of
us could function now without our computers, how many can function
now without your cell phone and just a few years ago the idea that
you could have a cell phone that could call anywhere in the world in
your pocket they thought that was from star trek and now its
everywhere
So once we accept it and once we know we can embrace it but we have
to get our subconscious to believe it and all of us are free because
the subconscious is neutral. It doesn’t care what you tell it it
will just take whatever you tell it and create from it. Now most of
us have not been telling it the truth for a very long time What do
you think money grows on trees? On the orange trees and the avocado
trees that is where money grows in Florida money grows on trees. So
this idea of what do you think money grows on trees your
subconsciously suppose to go no it doesn’t when in truth that is not
a true statement. Because there are staggering opportunities to make
money all the time anywhere unless you don’t believe that and who
has the power to reprogram what is happening in your subconscious
mind. Everyone say “I do”, I do and nobody else has that power
however you can give other people the power, have you noticed? You
can give the power away to a boss, you can give the power away to
the spouse a mother, a daughter to a son you can give your power
away and the subconscious say oh you are giving it away ok, then you
can’t do anything until that person gives you permission, not
because that’s the way the universe is but because that’s the way
you have programmed yourself to believe. So our work is to say no I
am free to believe and I am born in the image and likeness of God so
we begin with If I’m going to be and here is the Ernest Holmes line
the one with the most power is the one who is the most God like and
we have trouble with that you and I oh no I don’t want you to think
that I am God. No, no, wait a minute I want to be clear here I want
to be very clear I do want you to think that you are God. So
wherever you heard that before I want you the Reverend Dr. Harry
Morgan Moses with whatever credentials that he has gathered along
the way with thousands of articulated hours of teaching, thousands
upon thousands I want you to know something “you are God”. And I
want you to feel good about knowing that you are God because God
feels good about knowing that you are God. Do you feel good knowing
you are god? Because the creative process that God uses is the same
thing the only difference is that God does not have to program its
subconscious do you see it? Because God is already all things, does
not need to reprogram anything. You and I born in the image and
likeness of God free to choose, chose all the way along the line
until we got to this incarnation and then we started choosing things
in this incarnation and something’s that may not be true.
Some of you know I was a working actor and I was so blessed with
these wonderful grandparents and they had their issues everybody did
but I did not know that when I was young they were just my adorable
grandparents. I got to spend twenty six years of this lifetime with
these folks in my life. They just adored there grandchildren and
they always acted accordingly and my grandmother was a little wound
tight, she was old new England and I was a child actor and I started
acting when I was seven years old and I was working as a teenage
actor and as a young adult I wanted to be an actor but I adored my
grandmother and my mother was also an actress and she shows up in
Martha’s Vineyard Island and I am there visiting my grandmother and
having a wonderful time being seventeen year old adult in the world
and trying to figure out how things were and my mother in a film
with John Wayne and there is an article in the newspaper and there
is my mother, face cover right on the cover of the town paper and my
grandmother looks at that picture and she puts the picture down and
says ah that is terrible and I looked at her and said why, she said
our family does not get press. Do you think that was a good idea for
my subconscious as a working actor is it a good idea to not get
press? Do you see it but we will give our power away all the time
and let somebody else program something in there that doesn’t belong
there. Only because we are not making the power to choose so if
forgiveness then is to cancel the demands and expectations that are
blocking my attitude of love then the truth is that returning to
love is the way that is the most like God yes?
So now we fast forward to the big picnic, today is the Pentecost and
if I were a guilt and shame minister because it is easy to get
people to put money in the plate when you have to keep the devil
away. A totally different thing to get money in the plate when its
about my learning who I really am in the world and what I really am
as an expressing of the divine, totally different thing. So if I
were a Pentecostal preacher I would change the title from the big
picnic I would change the title to there is going to be a big
picnic. So let me get everyone up to speed.
My mother when she was very ill and passing away she wanted to stay
for her oldest grandson’s marriage and she was very ill but she was
hanging in to make it to that event. In preparing for that event she
was asked to fill out a book of thoughts for the ceremony and she
asked me to help her write something for Rickie and his wife Beth
and a long story short she wanted me to write it and I said no mom
they want you to write it and she said I don’t know what to write
and I said what do you think is important and she said we should
love each other. Everyone support that idea that we should love each
other? So who tells me what I should do, there is no authority
outside of yourself you understand so you have to come into
agreement with whatever your trying to tell your subconscious or its
not going to believe you. You can tell your sub consciousness to
believe what you want it to believe but you have to believe what
you’re telling it, then it will become a spontaneous first reaction
so we should love each other she said. Then I said what else do you
think is important and she said we should forgive each other and
well if you can’t love what do you need to do, you need to forgive
yes? So this is brilliant stuff that is coming from her and she said
we should love each other and well we should forgive each other,
anyone here come from a family, does anyone have room for
forgiveness in any of there family stuff? So we should love each
other and forgive each other and she said that is not enough and I
said what else should you do if you love each other and you forgive
each other, what else should you do and she looked at me with this
smile and she said you should have lots of picnics. So here was the
philosophy love each other, forgive each other and have lots of
picnics. So here is where we are going today on the birthing of the
divine feminism you see the feminism is that which receives it
receives the idea and it knows what to do with the idea. It knows
exactly what to do and for those who think I am talking women I will
be clear I am talking fermium because as much as I honor women lets
face it when you receive if were taking pregnancy when you receive
the seed and you are now the womb of creation you the women doesn’t
really know what your doing. It’s just happening because this
feminism within you knows exactly how to receive and how to create.
Now were not talking biology were also talking about any thing in
creation. The feminism within you which would be the subconscious it
knows exactly how to receive and its knows exactly how to create out
of what it receives, exactly how to create out of what it receives
and what is the other beautiful thing about the feminism is once it
receives it, commingles with its masculine nature and receives it,
it then bursts it forth and what is the wonderful thing symbolized
by in fact mothers day, what is the wonderful thing about the divine
feminism with its creation, it loves what it creates? It absolutely
loves without end what it creates, it loves without end so when we
say we love each other we forgive each other and then we should show
up together. Now the thing is if you’re going to go to the picnic
now mind you I am talking about my own family and I had a picnic to
celebrate the engagement of my oldest nephew’s his brother the
second born grandchild. Not all the family showed up why because you
can’t show up at the big picnic until you do the first two. You have
to love each other and you have to forgive each other, otherwise you
show up at the picnic with your baggage and your not going to notice
the picnic, you always going to be on your way to the next
depravation because you have so much baggage that you wouldn’t even
notice the picnic if it was happening. Do you see this? So the big
picnic is and this is the much bigger story than our families is
that when I was a camper I love nature and I love the outdoors and I
use to camp a lot and when you’re in nature you have any opportunity
to receive. To really let yourself receive so one of the things that
I did when I went camping is we would sit around the campfire and
gauze at the fire. We would gauze the fire and a Native American
term is when you just stare into the fire and just let creativity
and share whatever stories just come up. We would gauze at the fire
and tell stories and one of the things that I loved to do when I was
gauzing the fire was pick the five people throughout history you
would love to talk to. So Jesus would be in my five, I would put
Ernest there and my mother would definitely be there. Those five and
then when we really start to look there are more than five people we
admire through history yes? Anybody that you admire through history
is the reason that you admire is that quality is in you so you think
of an Abraham Lincoln for example, you think of martin Luther King
for example, you see people who saw through the mist and you admire
those people, well I would say you have a God relationship a
vibrational relationship with those people no matter what time in
history that they lived because if were immortal spiritual beings
every soul that every lived is still living, not in the current form
but in some expression of that individuality still exists. I believe
in the eternality and the continuity of the individual soul forever
and ever expanding, I believe that. So all of these people who I
admire as I sit around the campfire there are vibrating close enough
to me because those qualities which are why I can recognize them, is
this making sense? So imagine that all of the people what if there
are a lot more than five, now what about my brothers who haven’t
quite heard the message of my mother who are not practicing, do I
still want them at the picnic? Absolutely I want all the nieces, all
the nephews I want all the grandparents, I want Jesus at the picnic
for sure and I hope Ernest Holmes will be at the picnic I want Bill
heart to be at the picnic I want Marilyn to be at the picnic start
looking in your life who do you want at your picnic but the thing is
at the big picnic the one that is the continuity of your life
everybody’s going to be there and the problem at the picnic will not
be who will be there, the problem will be how am I at the picnic. So
think of all of those people with whom you are not expressing love,
with whom you are withholding love because you cannot forgive them
because they always and they never and they haven’t always and they
don’t right? Think of all of those people when you see then and
right there pick your favorite one, how many like Jesus as a high
one up there. How many people have Moses on your list, how about the
Buddha, so lets pick those people we have Jesus, Buddha, Lincoln
Martin Luther King, my brother and me and were all at the table and
the person I am most anger with is sitting between Jesus and Buddha.
Do you see the problem is not going to be in Jesus it’s not going to
be in the Buddha and who is the one who is now having the problem
sitting at the table that I wanted to sit at with the most important
people in my world and who is the one with the issues? You see why
if I were a Pentecostal preacher I would say be careful there will
be a big picnic. I don’t mean it as a scare but I mean it quite the
other way around which is to really to ask you the question, how are
you going to be at the big picnic. How are going to be what if there
is a tribe that you have been an war with forever? What if there at
the picnic? We carry these ideas in our minds of lesser and higher
and if they all show up at the picnic whose got the issue? You see
the question of the big picnic is who am I going to be because I
want everybody to be there and when everybody is there I want them
to know that I love them unconditionally and personally. If I can’t
love unconditionally and personally the problem is not there’s its
mine and God says why are you withholding and the answer is very
simple I allowed myself to program some untruths and today I am
making new decisions, to program only the truth. Only that which
brings more love, more light, more truth, more wisdom, more
abundance, more money as there are staggering opportunities to make
unlimited amounts of money right now. There is no limit to the good
that is yours but all of it is going to depend on how you are at the
picnic. So I say let the Pentecost come upon you, let the Holy
Spirit that is the divine feminism move within you and start
creating the life you have imagined. There is no limit to the good
that is yours for there is no limit to the god that you already are
So my friends I invite you to contemplate that you came that you
should have life and have it more abundantly. I came that I should
have life and I should have it more abundantly and claim it as yours
because one thing for sure is were all going to be at the big
picnic. My friends it is my honor and privilege to speak to you this
morning and I invite you to think on these things and together let
us explore the possibilities.
