“Revealing Your Spiritual Magnificence”
That’s the Best Idea

Everyone touch yourself and say I AM and so we are
talking about revealing that spiritual magnificence that is the you
of you. And the sub heading to revealing your spiritual magnificence
is that’s its the best idea, That the truth of the matter is and I
defy you in other words to bring it forward challenge yourself,
challenge yourself to find a better idea than revealing your
spiritual magnificence. It’s the best idea of your life, it’s the
best idea of your day, and it’s the best idea. Revealing your
spiritual magnificence is the best idea and so we say now wait a
minute I have too many problems to reveal my spiritual magnificence
and this is my point. Your spiritual magnificence has no problems.
Your spiritual magnificence is whole complete and perfect. Your
spiritual magnificence knows itself as the I AM that is not only the
self that is looking at all creation but the self that is all
creation. Your spiritual magnificence knows yourself as one with the
one not only now but forever. Now in order to live from your
spiritual magnificence you’re going to have to step out of your
littleness. I did not say to destroy your littleness, I did not say
don’t have your littleness. I did not say to attack yourself because
of your littleness, I just said step out of it. Because whatever
littleness that you want to hang onto you can keep it and you can
use that as the avenue through which you keep expanding your
consciousness, which is what is happening to you anyway. The
difference is that when you are putting your attention on revealing
your spiritual magnificence on calling forth the I AM that I AM that
God you the you that is revealing this magnificence God designed you
because you are necessary in the revelation of the glory of God. Let
me say that again God designed you because you are necessary for the
revelation of the glory of God. Now the problem is if you stay in
your smallness you will not be able to fulfill that opportunity not
because the opportunity isn’t there, not because it isn’t there
knocking on the door saying open and let me in right? But because
you have the door closed and it will not come in because you are
busy arguing for your limitations.
Richard Bach the great writer way back in the 1970’s who wrote
Jonathan Livingston Seagull in his book Illusions Richard Bach said
something very clearly argue for your limitations and they are
yours. When you argue for your limitation you are libel to win your
argument. You can say I have spiritual magnificence and I put my
attention on my spiritual magnificence but I have these limitations.
And here is another great line also that came out of that book and
it was called the messiah hand book inside the story and the other
great line inside the messiah hand book is forget everything you
heard before the word “but”. Oh I know I am the glory of god Oh I
know I am divinity unfolding, I know that this is such but and they
we argue for our limitations. So we hear the expressions literally
get off your butts.
When you start listening to people and where they put the word but
in and you can start to see that what they mean is not anything they
said before but and what they meant after butt. And that is why we
have to let of the small we have to let go of that but your holding
onto, why you can’t succeed, why you can’t thrive, because the truth
is that you can.
Now what is the thing that is in our way more than anything else the
answer of course you probably already know is your fear? Your fear
is what’s in your way and you say well I would step forward in faith
believing but my fear says I can’t. Here is a wonderful quote from
James Stevens he says curiosity will conquer fear even more than
bravery will. Curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery
will. I was telling the story on Wednesday to the group that was
here that our friend Maria Nemeth the brilliant PHD physiologist she
often says in her institute and her training programs she says the
challenge is we have our fears and we keep putting our attention on
them and one of the best ways to stop giving your fears so much
attention is to find something more interesting. To find something
more interesting, what is more interesting than you fear and even in
the presence of your fears and here is what people say and often in
this teaching we need to withdrawn from this world. He refers to
Jesus’ line to go into the secret closet of the most high. The
secret closet of the most high simply means that place where you
shut the world out and you take your own council. And you will find
in the mist of your fears and so in this economy people say we have
been hit and I don’t need a show of hands but slice the whole the
hologram and something has happened in the world and there is a big
readjust going on. Now do you have to suffer in the midst of the big
world’s readjust? No but you do have to readjust and you are going
to have to change your consciousness because the consciousness that
got you where you are will not get you where you want to go so we
have to adjust and that is one of the things that we often do we say
do your affirmative prayers do your affirmations open your dialogue
with the infinite. Start calling the infinite into your fears and
doubts go to that higher place work on that place in consciousness
and things will begin to shift and that is absolutely true. But we
need to know that consciousness is the real thing and fear is not
the real thing. And you can find even in the midst of your struggles
so look at bill paying that even in the midst and if you are blessed
and not having a struggle celebrate your consciousness start
celebrating that good in everybody you know, start extending
yourself that they can have it easy too just like you are if you are
already there.
And if your not and you might notice and you start looking at the
math and it starts to get low that you start to get afraid. Now here
is what you do, fear is one thing turning your attention to
something more interesting. For example today some people are in
twenty below weather in the Northeast and in the center of the
country and North in Canada they are in very cold weather and you
can watch and react oh it is so cold and then open your door and its
seventy five degrees and your in California. You see that will
change your focus as to how cold it is to what is the truth of the
omnipresence now. And you might look and see the beautiful blue
skies and feel the breeze and look at the opulence of God and
everything around you because when you look at the opulence of God
you can see it. Now you start to ask yourself the question where the
opulence of god in my life is as I am dealing with this stuff and
the answer is it is right there. Because otherwise you see the way
it works is the universe is abundance in all of its grandeur, its
holding everything in perfect order, everything is working perfectly
and it comes right up to you and it stops. Now do you see that is
not what is really happening? That is just your consciousness doing
that and one of the best ways to deal with that is how come god it
looks to me like it comes right up to me and stops, how come it
feels like that and now you are taking it back to the infinite and
you are working with it where it belongs. And we begin to look at
the methodology that we have been teaching the methodology that were
practicing and I want to share with you so you see it completely
that this methodology its not quite Christed. It has not quite got
to the Buddha consciousness because the Buddha can walk through the
warring field smiling and he is not overwhelmed by the problems. The
Buddha can walk through the warring field knowing the warring field
is there and I am whole complete and perfect and my relationship
with the divine is perfect. And Jesus when he is woken up from the
storm and his best students are suppose to be practicing and they
can’t seem to calm the storm Jesus wakes up and just tells the storm
to stop. Personally I think that is the best method that whatever
your problems are tomorrow morning just wake up and tell them to
stop
Now here is the thing and what we use to have in the New thought
center in San Diego we use to have what we called the K-mart test
and the K-mart test is you go to K-mart and get one of those little
pools for the children and we fill it with water and to the one who
can walk across that pool with out getting wet they should teach the
Sunday lesson not me. Because if you can do that then you should not
listen to these methodologies you should to those methodologies.
But in the mean time you and I are here working from where we are to
where we want to go yes? Two ways to get there, you are either
pushed by pain or you are pulled by a vision there are only the two
ways, there is no other way. Now the thing about being pulled by the
vision that becomes responsible and that is why we call this a
responsibility teaching, the thing about being pulled by a vision is
that you have got to have one and that’s your responsibility. To
have the vision of what you mean by your life fulfilled and to begin
to take the authority to step out of your smallness and into the
infinite field of creation and begin to draw forth what you mean.
What do you mean by thriving, what do you mean by opulence what do
you mean by success, well how do we do that and we have to work with
ourselves and we have to work together because were in a new era.
I want to remind you in the face of the inauguration coming this
week and tomorrow Martin Luther King Day, praise martin Luther King
and his vision which has pulled us so far, pulled by a vision that
we share with the great saints, sages mystics and prophets. And the
following day Tuesday is the inauguration day but there was
something that happened back in 1776 and back when they began to
create the constitution and the first constitution convention and
you notice they didn’t gather in maybe ness there was no gathering
in maybe ness and you can tell by just the words of the preamble to
the constitution that this was not a gathering in maybe ness. Listen
to the words we the people of the United States in order to form a
more perfect union and then it goes on to promote the general
welfare and secure the blessing of liberty for ourselves and for our
posterity. Here is what they said we the people are going to work on
forming a more perfect union, were going to establish some
priorities about what that union is about. The essential gift is to
work on the general welfare of the whole and to secure the blessing
of liberty freedom for us because were claiming it and for our
posterity because we are claiming it and what is the next line. We
do ordain and establish, they did not say we think we might maybe
form a nation, they made a claim and they put their lives and their
whole being behind the claim saying we do ordain and establish. So
now we look at this infinite universe we look at how much we have
learned about this infinite universe and we now know through
thousands of years of science and we now know through the evolution
of humanity that everything is inner connected and there is no such
thing as a separate anything and what I am doing in the midst of it
creates what’s happening to me. Well were going to have to begin to
ordain what we mean and the challenge in our world is that there is
some upsetness in the field over religion. We know this because
currently on the planet we are still engaged in more than twenty
religious wars even as we speak. And throughout time we have been
involved in religious wars and now there is a new generation of folk
rising up and we are part of that new generation and so those of you
who are over twenty can claim yourself as part of the consciousness
of the twenty year old’s, because the twenty year old’s are now
saying and announcing and we know this by survey and by fact and not
only in this country but around the world there are announcing that
they believe in spirituality. And what they do not want is religion
because they do not want dogma and creed. They want spirituality
because they recognize that we live in a spiritual universe and so
we let go of being upset at religions and we pursue spirituality. Do
you know where going to spiritual lectures in the demographic
between the twenty and thirty year old do you know where attending
church or going to spiritual lectures shows up in the first twelve
items of what they do for their spirituality. It shows up as number
nine and what shows up and one or two and what shows up of this
demographic that believing in spirituality, believing inner
connectedness of all things wanting to connect in that inner
spirituality and the top three things in order to connect to that
spirituality number one is be in nature and the spectacular that
what was around us in the pine trees and the forest and streams and
the chipmunks and the squirrels and the critters and it was the
opulence of god and young people are now finding a connection to
spirit through the nature. The other place they are finding a
connection to spirit is through music and they are listening to
music and looking for music to inspire them and way down on the list
is nine. And the third thing on the list is being of service in
their communities. Finding out how to be of service in their
communities and it is making them feel connected to the inter
connectivity. But there is still something that needs to be seen and
you and I are the instruments through which it is being seen because
what is happening in our time what we call the era is the coming of
the third appearance and the coming of the third appearance is that
through out time up until now when it was time for humanity to
advance, when it was time for a rapid advancement in humanity
scientists came along with inventions or mystics or prophets came
along with a message and through those inventions and through those
mystics and prophets we hit a new level another way of
understanding. And now the universe is saying but the I AM that I Am
is everywhere present and equally distributed and each one of us
each individualization of that I AM is essential in the revelation
of the glory of the I AM to itself through itself. And the challenge
is in order to be the third appearance we have to discover it
together. And so while I honor this Hugh influx of seeing happening
by the new generation there is something they are not seeing yet and
that is that we have got to do it together. We have got to take
these highest ideas and highest values and we the people have to
ordain and establish what we mean now.
So the methodology that I am recommending although not as affective
as being able to Christ it or Buddha it or walk on the water upon
demand and we can get there because everything is related and
consciousness is the only thing. When our consciousness is high
enough and when it’s clear enough we can get there but in the mean
time we need to go from where we are now, the challenges in our
lives the things that cause us not to feel good and we have to move
in the direction of what causes us to feel good. And that means that
we have to wake up because you know you cannot move in the direction
of what causes you to feel good unless you’re paying attention to
what causes you to feel good. And you cannot move away from what
causes you to feel bad unless you’re paying attention to what causes
you to feel bad. And so we see the day to day operation the day to
day work of expanding my consciousness is happening by number one my
invoking my awareness first thing in the morning not later in the
day. First thing in the morning remembering who you are and calling
that remembering into play because if you go to sleep in your small
self and you wake up in your small self what do you think your day
is going to create a small self day. And if you go to bed in
appreciation of whatever good you have what ever level you get out
of it if its great amounts or small amounts if you go to bed in
appreciation and gratitude and you wake up remembering your
spiritual magnificence you have opened the door to a whole new
possibility. But nobody can do the work for you because the work has
to happen through you. We can create the circumstances where the
possibilities are there but unless you open to them they will sit
there knocking on your consciousness waiting for you to be the
avenue through which it emerges. So you and I are apart of a
something much greater. We are part of the third appearance which
means we have to be willing to claim I AM the avenue through which
some new good is coming into the human condition. Everyone touch
yourselves and say I AM now are you willing to be the avenue through
which some new good is coming into the human condition. Well here is
the way that God designed the system. It starts in your life and it
is so great because as soon as you say I am willing to be an
instrument through which a greater good comes into humanity the
doorway opens for that greater good to come into your life, Because
your the instrument through which its going to happen and so by
opening yourself for the greater good of the all you open yourself
to the greater good of the self. But there is only one self here
there is only one thing going on and its god and therefore the more
you get in tune with it the more of it comes through to you. The
more you argue for your limitations the more secure the law is in
bringing you your limitations. Because you create the pattern
through which the law has to operate it can only receive the impress
of your consciousness and act upon it.
So here is the difference and we have know this stuff for awhile and
I had a teacher and friend named Erline and she had a great line and
she had a lot of struggles in her life but she learned how to create
this capacity to observe what was happening in her experience. And
she would look at her experience when things were happening around
certain subject matters whether it was health or wealth or love or
relationship or whatever it was and she would notice when the road
got bumpy and her line was wow there is a leak in my consciousness.
Looking at her experience and she was an accomplished student and
teacher she knew that experience wasn’t random that she was related
to the experience and she would look at the experience and it was
basically not coming out what she meant and she would say oh there
is a leak in my consciousness. Meaning it is not doing what I mean
there is something coming out that the vessel is not holding it
right, the challenge was that was as far as she took it. She
observed the leak in her consciousness do you think that would solve
things? So you look at your consciousness its not developing, oh not
quite enough cash to do everything I mean to do, oh there is a leak
in my consciousness, does that solve anything? No you see the new
thing is not to just learn a philosophy not to just know there is a
law that responds by corresponding, not to just know there is an
omnipresence that is there and it is filled with love and joy and
not to wait till we can all put our stuff aside and for five minutes
and just deal with it a little bit. No no when we start noticing
using her words there is a leak in my consciousness what is the leak
trying to show us, make an adjustment, plug it up make an
adjustment. It is not doing what you want it to do so make an
adjustment. Now when I want to make an adjustment in my
consciousness do I talk to you? I may have a vision or I may have a
friend who will see oh I see that leak and that’s interesting I may
get ideas and it is always good to hang out with people who know
more than you do and you might get some feed back and get something
valuable but ultimately consciousness is happening inside of you and
its between you and the divine. Consciousness is happening inside of
you and it’s between you and the divine. So you’re going to have to
reach up to the divine and ask what I do. You know the expression
behold I stand at the door and knock Jesus used that expression
meaning behold the Christ presence the answer the thing you are
wanting the very good the warmth the glow the presence of light that
you want in and through and as you experience it is standing there
knocking waiting for you to open your consciousness to receive it.
So we stand at the door and knock and it’s knocking back and as soon
as we get both of those doors open, get that swinging door to go
both ways things start to change. Because when you ask for the
universe for help it will give help and when you’re open to receive
help you will get help. But most of us forget we have a leak in our
consciousness and we forget to do the next thing which is to adjust.
To adjust to invite that which is the holy spirit that which is the
presence to move in and through you. In the course of miracles its
says it this way. In the eternal presence there is peace, there is
quiet there is love there is joy there is happiness, today my
practice is to continue to open my mind to the holy spirit so that I
may become more aware of the eternal presence and it is only the
eternal now love is god is.
The holy spirit is the activity of the law when you put something in
it receives it and it begins to feed it back to you, that’s the
presence of the holy spirit feeding back what you have asked to you,
asking you to adjust to follow its guidance to show you what to do,
what to become how to return and what do we know. How do we always
get there well we know the basics god is love god is joy god is
peace, god is harmony so if I’m not feeling love, joy peace and
harmony I know I have to make a bigger invitation to god. If in my
experience I see this is not what I mean because it is not filled
with love, joy, peace and harmony then we can say that to god this
is not what I mean. Then we notice in life when the sun comes out
today and the sky is blue and its heaven in California in January
just the way we have always wanted when its like that you have to
open your eyes and say yes that’s what I’m talking about! The more
we call in what we mean and clarify what we don’t mean the more our
consciousness is getting clearer. And at some point without
announcement without bells and fireworks, without the presence of
the Holy Spirit and light coming upon you that you could not look in
some ordinary way you will notice your consciousness has changed,
why because you changed it. And all of a sudden when your
consciousness is different you will be different.
Mike Dooley a wonderful new thought teacher out in the field today
he says may your year find yourself surrounded by friends and
laughter and good times. May every cup runneth over financially,
romantically, spiritually and creatively? That good health is your
faithful companion, peace your guarded allies and loves your
perpetual God. That’s what’s there for you, that’s what’s waiting
when you open your consciousness to receive, when you willing to not
only use your consciousness to see but to take advantage of our time
to adjust. To make the adjustments in your practices and your ways
of beings in your affirmations, in the way you’re looking at things
the way you perceive things and you make the adjustments because
this is what I mean and this is not what I mean and I’m going to
move in the direction of what I mean. And always putting your
attention on what you want and not on what you don’t want. That’s
the opportunity because all of us can go into the secret closet of
the most high shut out the universe, tell the God, tell the I AM
that I AM what I mean now. And whatever we have meant before because
we are making adjustments will change, so it comes back to where we
were in the beginning.
God has birthed you that you could reveal your spiritual
magnificence, that’s why god birthed you. And God birthed you so you
could reveal your spiritual magnificence and know yourself as what
God is and therefore god will know you as your spiritual
magnificence and it’s the best idea. And that magnificence is
already given its’ there waiting for you to receive it. So don’t
look at the world and say what’s wrong, don’t look at the world and
say here are my challenges, don’t look at the world and say during
these tuff times they are just times and they will become the times
that you create them to be. And they will be filled with the
qualities of God according to your hearts willingness and openness
and how will you help humanity is every time somebody whether it’s a
Democrats or a Republican everyone somebody in political office says
something good you say yes to that. And every time some idea that
has meaning to your heart passes to your consciousness, say yes to
that. And every idea that is repulse to you that you think is
disgusting and doesn’t belong in the field; say I’m not practicing
that.
Here is a story when you begin to wake up to what’s going in your
subconscious mind you begin you began to know who you are. If I
could do my walk of faith as I do parking I would be in heaven.
Because my consciousness around parking is I know that parking place
is there, I know that’s its there, I have no question in my
consciousness that its there and it’s always there and sometimes I
get three or four at a time, I cannot even use that many. If I could
get that good with my consciousness of knowing in every area of my
life I would be the bliss that I truly am and that’s what I’m
talking about. And so you begin to know what’s in your subconscious.
I was talking to a thirty year old buddy of mine and I am talking
about the colored guy that was talking about one of the players on
the team and later he pauses to me and he says can you say that! I
said can you say that and I said say what and he said colored guy
and I looked at him with absolute conviction in my heart with
absolute knowing I said I never said that and its not in my
consciousness to say something like that and I said I don’t know
what you heard and I don’t know what your talking about but I
guarantee you I never said that and he described the thing and I
said I was talking about the color guy the announcer that gives the
play by play and there is the color guy who fills in all the other
data. You see it is going to be done unto you as you perceive and
when you know what your consciousness is just like I know parking
places, just like I know there is not anything in my being that
would separate any human being by race color creed preference or way
of being, I cannot do that and its not who I am. And when you know
who you are when your level of faith gets that clear, your
demonstration will be immediate. And one day were going to put the
K-Mart test in this sanctuary and were all going to pass it and
that’s the third appearance and that’s revealing your spiritual
magnificence and I invite you to think on these things and together
let us explore the possibilities.
