Part Four
Purpose

Today we are in the final phase of the Science of
Mind for everything and we covered the opening which was wholeness,
health to reflect that perfect pattern and I call on a line from
Ernest Holmes he said as we rise up we more perfectly pattern the
divine and can consequently more completely manifest the eternal. As
we rise up we more perfectly pattern the divine and consequently
more completely manifest the eternal. That eternal is wholeness and
so we began with understanding that wholeness is our name in nature
it is the pattern of who and what we are in truth and that the way
to access that pattern is to rise up into the highest nature of
ourselves. Then we talked about wealth and we talked about wealth as
the place where the affluence, the two streams of life my human
nature and my true nature merge and from that flow comes an
unlimited good. And I am able as I rise up to rise in to that
affluence as it was so beautifully shared this morning, so much
opulence around us all the time and perhaps we notice because here
in Sothern California we are blessed by such wonderful weather all
the time and when the weather shifts we see all kinds of clarities
and colors and freshness that we didn’t see before. It is to remind
us of the opulence flowing to and through us and around us all the
time. That we are beginning to open to the omnipresence wealth of
the universe and beginning to understand that as I vibrate into that
wealth, as I choose that wealth separate from stuff, as I choose the
wealth and all the qualities of the divine and begin to allow that
to multiply in my life it will begin to multiply And then the next
part of that was love and understanding that if you seek love, you
must be the vibration of love and if you’re seeking personal kinetic
love in terms of relationship that you must make a relationship of
the world in love. Then there is a dynamic in that the dynamic is it
is not just to give love but it is also to receive love. It is
giving and receiving as the powerful Donald Kehoe reminded us.
Giving and receiving and everybody touch themselves and say I AM I
am an excellent receiver because were coming back into balance; we
have been really good at giving, and giving and were not receiving.
I will tell you a story yesterday I went to go see Mary Manin
Morrissey who had a conference at the airport called miracle mastery
and I was at that conference and when I arrived at 8; 30 in the
morning a lot of people came up to me and many different people, and
it was unusual God was happy he was playing with me. They came up
and said you changed my life and four or five people walked up to me
and said you changed my life. I heard you speak two or three years
ago and you said this and you said that and it changed my life and I
heard these people kept saying I changed their life and someone
walked up to me and said you changed our corporate structure.
I checked my book and I did not get a check for changing corporate
structure and I did not know what she was talking about. I said what
corporation did I change the structure and she said Babies R us I
said really how did I change the structure of Babies R us and she
said you lectured a couple of years ago and then she mimicked me and
it is important that I want to talk about this mimicking because on
the subject of wealth we discovered that wealth is not about stuff
or status. That wealth is about love moving from the potential the
omnipresent potential of infinite love into the kinetic reality
where it hits, where I connect in love and connect in knowing one
another and connect in that joy. Love in potential is marvelous but
it is in kinetic reality that we experience it. So we are interested
in being this vibration of love and giving out into the world and
then were going to become better receivers and allow the universe to
give back to us as we begin to act appropriately So the woman says
she mimicked me meaning that in this moment that she heard me speak
something went into her and impressed her subscious in such a way
that she remembered it because when she said it to me she mimicked
me. She said and you said your good is my good and she used her
hands just like I move my hands and so I wrote that down and I
thought wow that really did impress her at some level meaning it
made an impression in my consciousness. And so she wrote it down and
printed it out and put it on a plaque on her desk and she said your
good is my good and one of her colleagues walked by and said now I
understand that your good is my good its because if you look for
example here the part of wealth that we are talking about is giving
and receiving, were understanding it enlightened capitalism Aren’t
we ready for some enlightened capitalism, we understand that
enlightened capitalism is about giving and receiving so we
understand the new model of enlightened capitalism is you should
earn, you should give, you should save, and you should budget.
Shifting the order all of those things valuable but making sure that
we are in right order in enlightened capitalism. So she put this on
my desk and one of my associates liked it and she asked me for a
print out and she put it on her desk then one of the management team
walked through and saw it and said that’s fantastic because why is
your good my good because as you expand and grow, if we look at
spiritual community your good is our good. Because I’m a giver and a
receiver, I’m going to receive, I’m going to earn, I’m going to
give, I’m going to save, I’m going to budget so right away your good
has to be. In enlightened capitalism your good not just in its true
vibration ally always but it is also true at the level of physical
form. That your good is my good and when we talk about candles when
we light one up and we say Ann is a living candle, she is a living
light of God and Lynn is a living light of God and I am a living
light of God so we all three have candles so when we get together do
we say please don’t co-mingle your life with mine, your interrupting
my lightness, no? Do you see it doesn’t make any sense in fact we
say your light is lightening and when my light joins with you we
have more light and she joins we have still more light, its
undivided light always its undivided. So we step up into giving and
receiving and of course your good not as a metaphysical principal,
not just enlightened capitalism but as a truth. And how do you know
something is true, we will borrow from the great Terry Cole
Whittaker she said how do you recognize truth, it makes you feel
good Yes your good is my good and so we really begin to see that
that is a truth principal so they put it on the desk, one person saw
it and then management saw it, management took it to the board and
we are now on every desk throughout the whole nation in Babies R us
there is a sign that says your good is my good. Because we just
allow the giving and so we have to open our consciousnesses to
receive if were in the act of giving. We are in the act of giving
and we say it’s coming to us all the time so then wealth we
discovered is about being in it. Love is about being in it. You know
the challenge about not getting up on Sunday morning and although it
is a lovely thing and I understand that but it’s potential is not
kinetic. So we make a choice to wake up to move from potential into
kinetic and we want our love to be kinetic so we make a choice to be
a vibration of love and emanate love and to receive love and pretty
soon our relationships are connecting and it is more and more
inimitate and more and more alive and then we get to the next one,
which is purpose and that’s a deep subject.
Purpose what is my purpose everybody’s longing to be in tune with
the purpose and what we know as light workers is we really did come
into this lifetime and you remember truth makes you feel good, we
really did come into this lifetime to do something didn’t you? You
know that you did at this lifetime did you come into this lifetime
just to get back on the wheel of reincarnation and have a little
lifetime and step back in and do it again. Is that what you are
doing in this lifetime or did you say no I want to get involved in
the upward forward spiral and I want to embody more and more of the
I AM that I AM. I want to live from the glory and the joy of God, I
want to be in trope with myself all the time, and wouldn’t that be
the kingdom in earth as it already is in heaven. And what I know is
that you have a right and you see it has been said if you come into
this lifetime and you have one thing to do and you do one hundred
and fifty other things you will leave empty and void. It is ours to
discover what we came to do and to find ourselves doing that.
Because when you find yourself doing that as Confucius said find
what you really love to do and that’s a few years back Confucius,
find what you really love to do and you will never have to work a
day in your life. When you ask the question am I on that thing that
I would do no matter how much money I have and then we are beginning
to step into life. So here is now where we have to step back, we
have to step back and understand a little bit about what is purpose,
what is our life.
I want to share a line with you from the new testament its from John
14:2, It says in my fathers house there are many mansions, if it
were not so, I would have told you. I’m going to prepare a place for
you and I will come back and take you to be with me that you may be
where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. Now see
if you just take the one line in my father’s house there are many
mansions it doesn’t complete the thought. I go to prepare a place
for you so that we can be together. Be together as one and you know
the way to the place where I’m going. So here is what were beginning
to understand What I was going to share with you from the book the
Science of Mind is Ernest Holmes spoke of the ascending
consciousness and he joined with Thomas Thoreau to take about the
levels of consciousness and how the universe sets things into
automatic motion until the place of self consciousness and then the
self must arrive by the self. In the Hindu Upanishads it says and
the self shall lead the self by the self through the self. The self
shall lead the self by the self through the self to the self. It
becomes all about my choosing and so the levels of consciousness are
we begin with the level of a plant. We call that a plant or mineral
consciousness and plant and mineral consciousness we know all things
are vibrating, nothing new to us now. Rock is vibrating, plant is
vibrating, plant has consciousness, plant will seek sun, and plant
finds its way.
On the freeway if you have noticed on the left lane there is a palm
tree growing out right by the cement wall and it is growing out
underneath the cement wall and I drive by it and I bless it all the
time because that plant doesn’t care about the smog and the carbon
monoxide it says give me the light and it is reaching up and through
everything it is seeking light and it is powerful this blessed palm
tree is reminding us of the life force within us reaching up to
something higher So the next level of consciousness is the dog,
simple dog and cat consciousness The animal knows, it knows itself,
it is aware of itself a little bit. It knows how to think because my
retriever looks at me and tells me she needs to go out and I put her
out and she knows that I can’t see her through the front door so she
goes to the other door where I can see her through the glass. So she
thinks but the thing is it can’t think, she can’t think about what
she thinks about. So in other words if she is thirsty and she is
going to water and I take a ball because she is programmed to
retrieve she will be headed towards the water and I will throw the
ball and she will forget about the water and go for the ball. If you
asked her why she was going for the ball she would not know. She can
think and that is the level of simple consciousness, it can think
but it cannot think about what it thinks about. And then the next
stage is the self consciousness and self consciousness can think and
think about what it thinks about. At the point of self consciousness
we can then think about our relationship to the whole to the divine,
to that which is and we can begin to choose and cultivate that
relationship and at that place evolution ceases to be automatic and
becomes a choice. And we are the ones given the choice. If you
continue to do what you’ve always done, you will continue to get
what you’ve always got So we see the need for a new thought a new
thought will create new experiences and it is an opportunity for me
to choose to rise up into my highest nature. Choose to be part of
the pattern of my own existence. So we have all of these levels of
consciousness and the idea of choice and then we can think about
what we think about and now we are asked to think about what the
enlightened masters have said And this one particular enlightened
master named Jesus he says in my fathers house there are many
mansions.
So get in your minds eye a mansion, a big mansion and now imagine
there are no lights on anywhere in the mansion and in one room, in
one little corner room, this is a very big mansion and this one
little corner room way up in the far reaches of the house, this
little corner room has a light on in it, in my fathers house there
are many mansions meaning there are many rooms in my fathers house.
And this one little room has a light on and in the room there is a
television on and in that room that’s the only place in that giant
mansion that there is any activity So you say life is a television
set, do you see it because that is what you know as life, is
whatever is going on in that stream, that’s life. But no that is the
tiniest little room in the mansion and that television show that you
are looking at is what we call the race experience, it is your
experience in looking at the world, and you think that’s life. When
the reality is you’re born from the ninety nine percent of the
mansion that isn’t represented by that one little room. Your true
nature is the mansion, not the room but you keep looking at the room
thinking it’s the only thing with something going on. We say well
wait a minute what comes first desire or fulfillment? What comes
first desire or fulfillment because we think desire comes first
right and I heard someone use an example on all the speakers that I
heard and he used a good example he used an Eskimo way up in
Northern Alaska so much an Eskimo he has never traveled more than
thirty miles from his village. So the most he has seen of
civilization is the light bulb so he knows there are light bulbs in
the world but the Eskimo has never had a Starbucks latte so is the
Eskimo desiring a latté no because the Eskimo is already fulfilled.
But if he slides thirty miles to the village and he tastes the latte
and he likes the latte he might build a desire for that thing, do
you see it? The reason that you have a desire is because you know
what it is to be fulfilled. You already know what it is to be
fulfilled, you can from the fathers house into this one room and you
know what it is to be in the fathers house because you just walked
into one room, you already know what it is to be fulfilled and why
is it that truth makes us feel good because it reminds us of the
fulfillment that we already know. In the Tibetan Book of the Dead it
says you came from the light, you put on a coat of skins, and you
shall return to the light So how then am I to find this mission this
purpose in my life? How then can I use the great law of life which
responds to me by corresponding to me to create what I want, and
your coming into something one of the reasons for being? One of the
reasons that were moving into this next couple of weeks to really
talk about what it is to be creative and what it is to be a creator,
and what it is to be creation. I am creation in creation creating,
what is to really come into that because that’s going to be part of
the fulfillment and there are really three ideas that have to do
with fulfillment in terms of remembering your fulfillment,
remembering what it is to live from your being fulfilled. And the
three things that are built in to the human condition for us to
begin to move our consciousness, our awareness to the place where we
get it, there are three critical things. And the three critical
things are number one your nature since you’re born in the image and
likeness of God, your nature is to be immersed in omnipresent
opulence. Remember in the new standard we talked about accept the
abundance of the self. One of the realities to accept the abundance
of the self so did you notice are you noticing the abundance the
omnipresent sharing that the universe is constantly giving to you,
constantly pouring out this omnipresent sharing by means of sunsets
and sunrises and tides and trees and blossoms and birds and critters
and life the opulence that is around us all the time are we stepping
into becoming one to share that opulence. Because you know whenever
you look at a sunset, what is the one thing you want when you’re
witnessing a beautiful sunset, you want to turn to someone and have
them share it with you; sharing omnipresent opulence sharing is your
true nature. Your true nature is to create, your true nature is to
create, create what? From a blank page whatever you want, what do
you want, what is your life fulfilled look like, you are free you
are not a golden retriever, no one is throwing the ball and making
you go after it, although a lot of us are acting like it. How do I
step into the joy of creation? How do I step into the I AM joyous
creation and what is my way to start noticing that I can step
forward and joyously create. And it take guts you have to get to
that edge and step out, you have to get to that edge and step out
and what is the third thing. What is the third thing so and if you
get these three things you will find I AM preparing a place for you
so that you can be with me in the Enlightment of the true I AM that
I AM and know what I AM. And to be with some many enlightened
totally awakened souls, Jesus is awakened, Buddha is awakened,
Mahatma Gandhi is awakened, Martin Luther King is awakened and you
should hear him preach now, he is awake and there is some awakened
life all around us and there all ascended to the place to be in the
kingdom with all of the love that is in the kingdom. All of the
individualizations of the light as the light as the I AM that I am
can you imagine your really one with all of the enlightened ones in
the cosmos? Three things omnipresent sharing, omnipresence opulence,
to be the self that experiences omnipresence opulence. Two move into
fresh creation to start creating what I mean by life. And the third
one and this is the one that we often get stuck on and the third one
is give up the Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley song and more much more
than this I did it my way! Because you are a creative mind, your
life is to be in the garden, to be in the garden just like the
master does when it comes right back to you and you say God this is
exactly the way that I planned it. I came that I would be here for
God, that I am only here for God and I release and I let go and I’m
only here for God. Because giving up the agenda doesn’t mean don’t
be creative, and have you ever noticed your plans never come out
exactly the way you thought they were going to?
But they always come out at a higher vision and version than even
your best imagination, why should we surrender our agenda. It
doesn’t mean don’t create, it means put it out there, give it unto
the law and then let your highest self hear what you said and bring
you what you really mean. Three things to discover your purpose,
omnipresent sharing. I don’t want to just be in love, I want to
share my love, omnipresent sharing, and everywhere present sharing.
Two create I am the way the life and the truth, create what it is
that I am seeking, meaning create that. Be the instrument through
which that happens and three get out of the way of the light
circuits. You create your dreams and be flexible and let the
universe magnify your good. And one day you will be walking your
path and you will go this is what I meant, this is it and you will
discover that it is the law itself that is delivering it to you.
Pressed down and running over and more magnificent than you had ever
imagined. That’s what the truth of your spiritual life is, that’s
the reason you say yes to jumping into community, that’s the reason
you say yes to making it kinetic with other enlightened souls,
that’s the reason why I flock together with my birds of a feather.
That’s the reason because together we shall experience the
magnificence of not just one room but the whole mansion and I invite
you to think on these things, dwell on these things, meditate on
these things become kinetic in these things and together we will
explore the possibilities.
