“THE NEW STANDARD"

Four Part Series. Pt 1

We are doing a series starting today called the new standard. We would ask ourselves the question what is the new standard and why would that be exciting, well I will share with you what I shared with you a couple of weeks ago. What we all know is that we are in a time of change as I shared this reading with you a couple of weeks ago and I will share it again now. Nearly every culture prophecies that in 1990’s we entered a period of remarkable transition. At monasteries in the Himalayans at ceremonial sites in Asia and religious reservations in North America, from the depths of the Amazons and the peaks of the Andes and the ancient Mayan cities of Central America we have heard this area is a special moment in history. That each of us is born at this time because we have a mission to accomplish This is also true among the Gaelic philosophies and it doesn’t matter what continent you go into we find that the prophesy of many many different traditions have all pointed to this time.
Now we are living in a time that most of us have noticed where there is something called the new age. There has been a new thing that has emerged in the last twenty five years called the new age and there is everything from crystals to lights, to channeling to stars, a million variations and ways through which we can find this greatest love of all. What we find is the further we go from the center the more we put our attention on the modalities whether the modality is channeling or the modality is pendulums or the modality is rods or the modality is anything outside of ourselves the further we get out the more likely we are to get lost. That the further we get away from the center the more likely we are to get distracted and pulled by the momentum of those outside activities. And what we have found in our own lives is that we have been pulled along way along the way so much so that most of us in our lives have encountered suffering. And something within us and even though we find and this is true because we are physically here right we find that even through our suffering we survive. That even through it all I still am, I AM and I exist. Now what we recognize is if we come closer to the center we realize that the I AM that I AM, the truth of who and what I am is and will be eternally. Everybody touch themselves and say I AM, see what I am is more than my body, what I am is more than my experience, what I am more than my life, there is this divine reality of the I AM of myself and when I contact it, when I’m in touch with it I feel whole and when I lose contact with it I feel scattered, threatened, afraid and I suffer greatly. Now I just said that in the first person you figure out in your own life at what level it’s true for you. But what we now know is that this prophesy, something within us begins to agree with this, yes I am born in the right time! I am born in the right age; I’m born in a time of huge transformation. Now we would hope that all souls through history would love and appreciate the time that there born in but clearly if you look at life up until now we see the most rapid change in human condition we have ever seen. We have certainly seen the rise of technology in a way that’s phenomenal, we have seen the movement of information in a way that’s iphenomenal and yet the heart of humanity is still grinding away in some very old ideas yes? The idea of war, the idea of struggle, the idea of competition, the idea of getting mine before somebody’s else gets mine right, this idea of limitation and fear there’s a Hugh amount of humanity that is still moving along at the rate of evolution, remember the evolution is the thing but we won’t say evolution is the thing that happens to the pollywog we will say there is an evolutionary process already instilled in the pollywog that becomes the frog and that evolutionary process continues to evolve. But if we look at frogness what we see is that frog over thousands of years is still looking pretty frogie right? In other words evolution left on its own does in fact always move forward but moves slowly. Something happens in the chain of consciousness, consciousness is my self awareness, simple way of saying it, consciousness is something in my self awareness, something happens in the chain of consciousness that shifts the rate of evolution and that thing that happens in the chain of consciousness that shifts the rate of evolution is choice, it’s free will. That when an individual evolves far enough along that they recognize the capacity to choose it was William James the great American, William James said the greatest discovery of this or any generation is that human beings can alter their experience by altering their attitudes of mind. So we begin to discover that this power of choice is huge. Henry David Thoreau made reference to that same great discovery. We saw in the dawn of the nineteen hundreds we saw this conscious awareness of happening in a greater and greater aware of the power of choice and what we now recognize is a choice absolutely changes the rate of evolution. That as the I AM presence itself as the presence of life itself we are not subject to the world because I AM, in fact in the Bible it says before Abraham was I AM that would be in the Old Testament, before Abraham was I AM and Abraham you remember was the one who announced there is one God to all people. A big quantum leap in human consciousness and understanding and yet from the presence of the I AM well before anybody announced there is only one power, one presence , I am that life that power that truth. I am the awakened Buddha, I am the Christ awakened, I am that self. Everybody has the authority and there is no one in this room has anymore authority to touch themselves and say I AM than anybody else, everybody’s I AM is equally omnipresent yes? Now what we do with that I AM now becomes a question of choice.
Now we are told that were in a new age that something is happening in the prophesies of humanity and that we are coming into what this new age might be more accurately called the age of consciousness the age where we understand that according to my consciousness it is done unto me. Consciousness is everything, CIE according to my consciousness it is done unto me. Now we start getting some interesting things in here according to my consciousness it is done unto me and then we learn this other thing also announced in the late eighteen hundreds and the nineteen hundreds by the great Ralph Waldo Emerson, the writer and poet and philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson said we live in a liquid universe that appears as a solid fact Well what we now know about the liquid universe is that everything is moving, everything is vibrating, that we are immersed in a universe of motion and it will always be moving. Well then we go ok I am a divine center in that universe of motion yes and according to your consciousness according to what’s going on in your awareness that motion will move through you as change and the change will always be consistent with whatever you are doing with your consciousness. You cannot stop the change; however the change will always be consistent with your consciousness. Let me state it a different way, you are always attracting or repealing something. You are always attracting or repealing something right? Now if we look at this change of age ok there is a change of age meaning that the age of consciousness is the actual authority. One of my favorite things about being a new thought metaphysician and I trust that it is valuable to you in your life is in this teaching there’s only one authority. There is only one authority in this teaching. It is not the Bible, it is not the books written by Ernest Holmes, it’s not the writings of the Saints, the sages the mystics, and there is nothing outside of us that’s the authority. The only authority is the demonstration.
How do you know the God your talking about is the God of truth the answer is well because it seems to be working at the level that I understand it. Would it be alright for you if your life starts to work? Would it be alright for you if in this new age, this new age of consciousness with consciousness is the flame of light within me and it’s interaction with the field of love in which I am immersed, consciousness the flame of light within me and its interaction with the field of love in which I am immersed, everybody is immersed in that field you understand no way to not be immersed in that field and so what I do with my flame of light depends on what I do with my love in the field of love. What I do with my light depends on what I do with my love because I am immersed as light in a field of love. Meaning simply stated the more loving I am the more power I will have. Ernest Holmes the great metaphysician said the one who is the most God like is the one with the most power. And how many times have you heard throughout your life God is love. So the one who’s able to interact in the field of unconditional love and we say oh all of a sudden this matches the teachings of the Christ. For the Christ said after his life the Christ Jesus the man who became the Christ, remember the Gautama was the man who became the Buddha, Jesus was the man who embodied the Christ and came into that embodiment of the full principal of who and what he was and was able to announce that principal and he only left one thing, as he was leaving he said this commandment I give unto you that you shall love one another as I have loved you and we come right back down to the simplicity of am I willing to be a vehicle to be an instrument of love. I’m I will to be seen as love, as I willing to be give love, and I willing to go away from all of the outward expressions of love and become the actual presence of love and that’s the way in the new standard.
So let’s talk about what is the new standard well if there is a new age and if the new age is going to reveal peace and love and joy and harmony and abundance and laugher and joy beyond measure if that’s the possibility in the new age, that’s what we would be interested in yes? If that’s the possibility in the new age then there must be a standard that we can say is the way the people are in the new way. So the new standard is simply the way that we are to be in the new age. Now we will go back to Ralph Waldo Emerson who is also the one who said act as if and it shall be, you remember that and you all saw the secret and the secret says all that you have to do to get what you want is just ask as if, and so we want to know where is the class on act as if. We want you to know there is a whole teaching center in Burbank on act as if, and this is what were looking at. Ok if were going to act as if the new age is coming the best way to bring in the new age is to attract the new age by becoming the new standard, is that making sense? So over the next four weeks I will be talking about the new standard and what are the bench marks, what is the way we are asked to be in the new standard. Because unless you’re willing to be that in the new standard it’s not going to come to you, do you see it? You cannot vibrate lower than the new standard and become the new standard. You are going to have to vibrate as the new standard to attract everything like the new standard into your life, is that making sense? I would recommend personally since you came to earth on this plane of existence and since life is new functioning inside you, everybody touch themselves and say I AM. Life is functioning inside of you you are able to make that statement, life is actually functioning inside you and since life is omnipresent , everywhere present and we know this from every scripture that life is omnipresent, that the only thing unreal is death then why would you bother to die in order to step into the new age? Do you see what I am saying if there is a new age and it is coming and were the bearers of the new age we may as well step into it now and recognize that we don’t have to wait. I don’t have to wait to be part of the light in the new standard and by the way as soon as I decide to step in and be the light of the new standard guess what I get to experience, the new standard! Now will all of humanity experience, well somebody’s got to go first. Everyone say I AM, I am willing to go first, and there we go we are stepping into a whole new possibility, a whole new possibility of what we might be. So let’s look at the first order of the new standard which is the self.
Now let me share a couple of other things. Truth makes us feel good so take a look at how you feel right now, how you felt on your way here this morning, how you felt when you got here, how you feel. Now what we are looking for is to find truth. Now when we talk about the new age and the new possibility something within you recognizes that as truth, oh yes I really believe that we are in a new time and I am seeking to get out of the old time but quick and come into the new time, come into the new age into the new standard. In the new standard truth is emerging from all kinds of places where all of a sudden we are able to find ourselves able to use the instruments of truth in a way we were not able to use them before. Before we would see an instrument of truth and we would put all kinds of power in the instrument so we use the pendulum as an example and we go oh God, no the pendulum has no power, oh I got information from a channel, no there is no power in any object outside yourself. You can use subjects outside yourself so long as you don’t give them power so we are beginning to realize that truth discerns itself, that within each of us is this mechanism this capacity to discern that which is truth because truth makes us feel good. And truth is always larger than any context that presents it; truth is always larger than any context that presents it. So we are not so much interested in did the truth come from a channel, did the truth come from a mystic, did it come from a prophet, did it come from the Bible, did it come from a great sage, did it come from a writer, did it come from a MD, that would be a minor deity right? What we are interested in not where the truth came from but truth, were interested in truth and how do we know truth because truth makes us feel good. Truth makes us feel good and what’s happening in this dynamic age and some of you maybe experiences this in your own life and I have compassion for you, I have compassion for you because what is happening is change is happening and everything unlike the truth is being brought forth for release and reformation. Change is happening and everything unlike the truth is being release and reformation happening And some of us are noticing this huge and rapid change in our lives, that things are dissolving, things are crumbling, things are reshaping, things are reforming, and were trying to hold on by the old methodology in the old standard and it is simple not working. Were becoming frightened and afraid and nervous and all of a sudden what happened to the joys of life, the presence of life, the power of life, where did it go, how do I find it, how do I get to it and that is part of the change so let me tell you the commodity, one of the commodities in the new standard.
One of the commodities in the new standard is compassion. I have been attracting dolphins for years, the new thought center in San Diego which we started in 1990 the actual symbol was the dolphin. Dolphin is the symbol from the Native American traditions of the one animal who could control the breathe and by means of controlling the breathe could enter into the magical and mystical realms. That is why you see so much interest around dolphins and whales, it’s about the breathe. One of the reasons I mentioned dolphins because I attract dolphins and I do it deliberately and the reason that I can attract dolphins is because the soul of dolphins the purpose of dolphins in soul, this is from Gary Zukav work, the soul purpose of dolphins is to bring joy to the sea, to keep the presence of joy in the oceans themselves We’ll I care about the planet a lot and I care about joy a lot and so if you want to attract dolphins you go down by the sea and you put your attention on your compassionate heart and you put your intention on joy and how much you love the earth and in a matter of minutes, dolphins will show up for you, all depending on how deeply you are connected to your own compassion. Compassion is one of the commodities in the new standard. So when we see suffering in everyone’s life, when we see struggle in anyone’s life, when we see judgment, you see judgment begets its own rewards, do you see it? The master teacher said as you judge so shall ye be judged, so you watch people judge and go into creation and they limit themselves and so ours is to be compassionate about anywhere we see judgment. Our is to be compassionate about anywhere we see suffering. Ours is to open ourselves to what it is to have an infinite wellspring of cash. If I care about the planet, if I care deeply about the planet and then all of a sudden I go to the East river in New York and I watch the sludge pouring into the East river, do you see how that’s kind of yuckier, right it’s kind of like, “why are we doing that” well it’s no different than watching boys and girls die from any country in Iraq, from any side of the religious and political spectrum, people are dying and it stretches our compassion but the good news about compassion is, the more of it you use the more that you discover you have because you have an infinite well spring of compassion. Each of us has that and so we begin to practice in compassion, we begin to show up that our lives are being reframed and it is scary and we have compassion for each of us and for all of us, but we also know the truth that the I AM that I AM is whole complete and perfect.
A minister friend of ours has a wedding that was planned in his life is not happening and he is distraught. We would know that as emotional distress yes? anybody in a heartbreak of a relationship, that is distressing but what do we also know about somebody going through that, we know they will be ok. Love will reopen another door in the right time and you will be ready for the right love and the real love yes? We know that and so we can look at the situation and find we can have compassion for the suffering and at the same time know the victory, at the same time know the victory and that’s part of the new stretching in the new standard. Stretching ourselves to realize I can use this commodity of compassion everywhere because there is a lot of ignorance all over the planet and I can bring compassion to bear and not judgment, compassion to bear on all the ignorance.
So here we are things are being changed there are changing fast, things are going on and truth is the thing we are seeking because truth is the one thing that makes us feel good. So here let us talk about the standard about the self. Here are four things in the standard of the self. Four things in the standard of the self. We are going to go four things in the standard of creation; we are going to do four things in the standard of life and four things in the standard of teaching but today is four things in the new standard of the self. You have to be willing; each of us has to be willing to claim myself in the new standard now. I’m going to step into the new standard now because the more I live by the new standard, what am I attracting? More of the new standard so first rule of the new standard is to love the self. Everybody say I AM, I love myself, now look in someone’s eyes for no other reasons and they are good enough, they are powerful enough, just because they are a self, look in somebody’s eyes and say I love yourself. I love yourself, do you see it you give from yourself to love the self of somebody else’s do you see it? But if you do not love yourself then that’s where you have to start working, wait a minute have you had anytime in the human experience that’s been any fun, have you noticed anything has been beautiful, have you ever laughed, have you ever sung, have you ever danced, there are a lot of other good things you can do, you know what dancing can lead to? Have you ever really loved, loved the self that gets to experience all of this journey and if you have forgotten to love, you have got to go back to yourself and start working about what about your life have you loved, what about the experience of your unique self have you loved because the condition, the standard of the new standard is that it begins with loving the self because the self that I am is the self that God, very high almighty God has given me to be. It is the greatest possible gift that God has given you the self, you are that self and so it begins with I have got to find a way to love and appreciate myself. Now for me that’s about a lot of talking with God, to me it’s about a lot of talking with God but you know I get really familiar with God I don’t leave God out of anything. I like to talk with God, I like to talk with God, I like to be in dialogue with God, I like to talk about God, I love God and God gave me self and self is what I am and I am is what God is, oh my God this is so fantastic. You have got to take yourself in there to play; you have got to play in the holy ground If you don’t play in the holy ground you are playing in the far country and if you play in the far country you end up in the pig slop, you have to bring yourself back to the holy ground. The standard of the new self is to love the self, so note the self, I am practicing loving myself and one of the great ways to practice loving myself is to love the self of everybody else right? Do you know we are light workers waking up in a conscious modality of our own volition? We are gathering such force that it will make the atom bomb as if nothing once we really see the power of love. Once we really see what it is to love the self. There will be the recreation of fire, more important than the discovery of fire will be the real discovery of love. And the condition is to love the self now the other thing now and we have already talked about it a little bit in the new standard, the first condition of the new standard in the self is to love the self. Second condition of the new standard in the self is to follow your own truth. So we go back, we go back to our dear friend Terry who says truth makes us feel good. Truth makes us feel good, so when you start discerning what is true, is there one power, one presence one life belonging to all people, yes I know that as truth and if there is only one life and I am that life since that is the only life there is I must be that life, is that the truth, yes that’s truth. There is one power one life and that life is my life. Life responds to itself by corresponding to itself. Well I don’t always like that truth but I recognize that’s the truth that there is some part of life responding to the sum total of my awareness and recreating this liquid universe as change according to my own consciousness That’s what my friend and my original teacher Dr. Heart use to call the bitter pill of our teaching. The bitter pill of our teaching is its being done unto you through you. Now we understand a lot more of that than we use to so we can take away our little metaphysical hammer that’s our invisible hammer that we use to use to whack ourselves and we said what’s the matter with our consciousness, what ’s the matter with my consciousness, why can’t I and why don’t I and we start whacking ourselves that’s because we understand the principal of correspondence is responding to the sum total of my consciousness according to the consciousness of the whole which is the law of probabilities and all things will emerge according to my dream, according to my ability to hold my vibration in the dream because the “stuff” will keep flowing in and out according to my vibration and there is nothing I can do about stuff flowing in and out because the universe is liquid and it is moving and it’s doing what it does all the time. Now there is something I can do about the vibration I’m holding, there is something I can do about this space that I’m holding in the universe. And way back two thousand years ago he was know in the universe by the vision that he holds, you are known in the universe by the vision that you hold, you are known by the vibration that you are holding, that’s who you are the stuff will go flowing in and out of you. First condition of the self, love the self. Second condition is follow the self. Truth you know you have the capacity of the Christ the Buddha the Atman the high self, the capacity of pure spiritual discernment, you already have, you have it. Your not waiting to get it you have it, you know what truth makes you feel good and what truth doesn’t make you feel good and if truth isn’t making you feel good then I’m saying it isn’t the truth and be able to follow that, to listen to your own truth that’s the second rule in the new standard. First is love the self, second is follow the self, is that making sense? Everybody willing to live in the new standard? So one is love the self, second is follow the self the third is trust the self. Trust yourself and you know sometimes we get a vision and the fun thing for me about working with Dee Wallace and the wonderful work in I AM consciousness that she has been bringing forward and that we include and it’s all part of our work, the wonderful thing that I love about it is I have been working with and I mentioned to Dee about six months ago and we are talking about the new standard, you start shifting now and look at your life six months from now and that’s what were looking at. Look at what will happen once you start really working with these seeds and I said to Dee some months ago I said the thing is about all these instruments is I don’t want to be stuck on any instrument outside of myself and she said yes we just use these in order so that we can get clear about what’s going on in ourselves and pretty soon we wont need them anymore and so now I test things I test things and I say I think its and the test comes back its that so I am beginning to get the instrument to trust the self. So the third condition of standard is to trust the self. Love the self, follow the self, and the third one is trust the self because sometimes the world in its form in its vibration is holding an old pattern and your coming in with a new pattern and we say why doesn’t my new pattern just vavoom the old pattern. You have to hold the energy because the old pattern has been held in place for a long time and if you hold the higher vibration it will dissolve out the lower vibration which is why you have to trust yourself. So three things we have so far in the self, are you clear in the new standard I’m out of time but I will give you the last one and you will remember this one because this is one we need to call ourselves to, this is one we need to work with in an entirely new way because the way we were working with it is exhausting us and it is time to change it. The fourth quality in the self of the new standard is abundance, abundance, is what? I have no resistance is what? The fourth quality in the new standard is abundance and to understand that abundance is not how much wealth you amass, abundance is how much wealth you’re able to move and use in now. Abundance is not how much wealth you amass; it’s how much wealth you able to move in now and when you discover that there is a Hugh amount of wealth to be involved. How are you all feeling? Beginning to feel that you are lifting yourself up a little bit, isn’t the field of vibration rising a little higher right now? Right now that is a new kind of abundance now real abundance is knowing that you can have that abundance multiply that abundance and tomorrow have more of it still and still have more even though you may never amass any of it, but maybe you do amass some of it but it doesn’t make any difference because if you amass a great deal of wealth what are you going to do with it, give it away and that’s what your suppose to do with the amount that you have now. Whatever you have give it away, you give that away and you will have more of it. Give away everything, give away your most precious commodity which is your love, give away your innless capacity to have compassion, give it away all the time and you will discover that you have more to give away and then you have more to give away and you ask give away time, yes give away money, yes, I give away compassion, yes I give away love, yes the more you start giving of the self, the more you will discover the abundance of the self and you discover the abundance of the self is not oh look at my bank account I now know I am abundant, no, no, abundance is oh look I need it Oh a job showed up, oh I needed a project it showed up, I don’t know how that happened but there it is and what will be missing from your new abundance is the fear that you wont have the abundance because what is making you struggle, what’s making you suffer is your fear that you wont have the abundance. Do you see it? We are undermining ourselves by not affirming the quality of the self as abundant. My self is in God of God as God with God. Myself listens to myself and follows myself, myself knows that myself is telling me the truth and I live by that truth and myself knows that I am right now in the abundant presence of God and I not only am right now in the abundance presence of God I am eternally in the abundant presence of God. Now is that not a new standard. That’s a new standard and a new way and a new possibility and over the next few weeks we’ll discover all of the elements of the new standard and what I know is that you are already a light worker and your already capable of living in the new standard and as we attract from the cosmic sweep of love the highest vibration of love in the new standard what we may do and what we may become and what we may experience in this world is greater than our best imagination and some of us can imagine pretty good.
So my friends I want you to know to be with you in this new age, to stand with you in this new standard, to explore this possibility together for the next year, for the next six months we can bench mark it and six months after that that we can aim again and aim higher and bench mark that. We are in for one exciting ride in the cosmic sweep of love and the new age and I invite you to think on these things and together let us explore the possibilities.
