“Everything New”

Peace Be Unto Thee Stranger
Peace be unto thee, stranger, enter and be not afraid.
I have left the gate open and thou art welcome to my home.
There is room in my house for all.
I have swept the hearth and lighted the fire.
The room is warm and cheerful and you will find comfort and rest
within.
The table is laid and the fruits of Life are spread before thee.
The wine is here also, it sparkles in the light.
I have set a chair for you where the sunbeams dance through the
shade.
Sit and rest and refresh your soul.
Eat of the fruit and drink of the wine.
All, all is yours, and you are welcome.
All, all is yours, and you are welcome and we are
interested in what it is to be home and to understand that to be
home is to be home in spirit. And what we have also learned through
the course of our studies, the course of our awakening into the
understanding that all are one. What we have also learned is life
responds by corresponding, that as we create a consciousness on the
inside something is reflected on the outside And so our spirit of
home this year is called everything new and we will cap off this
spirit of home on Friday the 17th of November with our spirit of
home dinner.
There was a bunch of new thought ministers that gathered and there
was thirty three of us that gathered for a week for the association
of global new thought and my observation in watching the reverend is
that he is opening his mind and his heart as a truly powerful
chalice of the whole new thought movement and so we are honored that
he will be with us again.
Let me share the lyrics from Daniel Nahmod song everything new and
that which is relevant to us and then I will tell some stories and
get some points and hopefully you will leave with practices that
will enrich your life this week
Everything new bring it on, everything different, everything true. I
am ready for the next thing to do; oh it’s going to be everything
new. So this is an interesting idea for us I am ready for the next
thing to do, I am ready for everything to be new. Do you ever have
that feeling in your life where you are ready to wake up and have it
all be new, have it just come fresh and literally that is an
opportunity for us all the time. I have had in the last year working
with you, I have found that my spiritual journey continues to get
richer and richer and part of the process and we don’t want to dwell
on the past because we are interested in everything new but part of
the process of the year and one half that I have been here now was a
healing. When we got here there were not nearly as many gathered on
a Sunday as there are now and we had financial challenges and a
building that needed a lot of recovery and so we were in what was
considered at hole and we needed to heal that hole and we needed to
find solutions because if something is going to happen to us, it has
to happen through us. So we needed to find out what was ours to do,
what was the authentic action, what was true and of course the
leadership, the board was very clear that what we would rather not
do is loose the center, what we would rather do is create a thriving
spiritual community, what we would rather do is practice the
principals of the deepest level of all is one. The principal of love
and law and bring it forth. But what we would rather do is discover
what it is to be home in spirit, and so from that there was an
authentic action, there was something that we needed to do. Now most
of us in our lives are now at the point where we have been doing for
a long time, we have been in the process of going, getting and
having and doing a lot of doing and some of us may have noticed in
your heart of hearts that you are getting a little tired. So what we
would really love is that we hear there is one life, one power, one
presence, one joy, one harmonious love that is with and for itself
and in as and through all creation and ours is but to reflect this
deeper level of truth into our lives. So that if we really know that
if we are going to come into the experience of everything new, the
work is always going to be within us. What we find after all of our
going and getting and having is that it is not so much about
changing them as it is about changing me. So we get a hold of the
highest ideas of God and we begin to put them forward. So in our
community we took the situation and we prayed and meditated and
vision, what is ours to do and a solution came forward and the
solution was to draw from the resource of the building itself, to
put back into the building, to draw from the community to put back
into the community and so we have invested thousands of dollars in
new air conditioning and new roofs and new things and that was all a
big success and then we needed to really make sure that we had a
community, we needed to be willing to fall in love with one another.
I was lecturing Wednesday night to a group of one hundred forty or
so people and it is not about who is lecturing, but where do we hear
truth. These souls have known me through the formation of that work
up in Oregon and you met Reverend David Alexander again last week
and he is the lead minister up there and we created all of that and
we brought that forward and so I asked this group and I said how
many people in this room love me? About eighty people raised their
hands and I thought isn’t that interesting because the whole journey
is to learn about unconditional love, to learn that we are
instruments of love, to learn that we are at the very least suppose
to offer rockma love. Remember Jesus spoke in the Aramaic language
and I will share a couple of Aramaic words here. When he spoke of
love he spoke of two kinds of love in Aramaic there is rockma love
and there is kuba love. Rockma love essentially means universal
love. And the way that I translate it in my own mind is a rock is
vibrating with energy yes? And the energy that the rock is vibrating
with is the same energy that I am vibrating with, different level of
vibration but same energy. Same essence of rock, so at the very
least we are suppose to at least love at the level of rock. So
essentially when you ask any group of enlightened people who believe
there is only one power, one God, one love, one truth, one joy, at
the very least when you ask a group of enlightened people how many
love me and I didn’t say kuba love because kuba love is personal
love. Kuba love is I started at that place of rockma love and I have
been in relationship with you and in that relationship I am coming
to know you and I appreciate qualities of you, personal things about
you. But that is kuba love and usually kuba love is a developed love
but it can only really happen if were willing to be in rockma love.
So essentially when we gather with any group of new thought people
and somebody says how many people love me so how many people love
everybody in this room? You see that is what should happen that we
should be able to say well I don’t know you but I am willing to
“rock you”? So we discover the experience of what it is to step into
the rockma love, what it is to step into I’m not going to withhold
love for any reason, I’m just going to extend myself and then in a
spiritual community where we know there is one love, one power, one
presence we find oh it is safe. I will look at you in rockma love
and I will be greeted and then I will discover my kuba love is
beginning to rise up, it is beginning to show up in places. Then we
begin to really get it that love is grand, love is really grand.
So here we were in this hole and we filled the hole and then we were
in a repair mode to heal the community and in each of these steps
and now here is where the metaphysical
Dr. Harry comes into the picture, each of these steps, I get in my
meditation I get an instruction and the instruction is sage the
place. If you know anything about the ancient Native American
tradition sage is simply that it is born of sage and smudging is
lighting the sage and the energy of the sage is a cleansing energy.
Any people had any interest in crystals or gems and we know that
every kind of crystal like the rose quartz has a particular
emanation and a ruby has a particular emanation and most women know
that a diamond has a particular emanation and these are all just
various vibrations in an infinite field of vibrations and so there
is no power in any stick of sage, there is no power and no power in
the smoke that comes from the sage but it is an extension of an
energy so the idea of sage is that sage is spiritually cleansing. So
we do the ritual in order to extend the energy and each level of the
healing of this center we realized that the building and we know
that everyplace, every city, every community, every church, every
chapel, every mosque, every temple, every country, everything has a
vibration. Everything has a vibration unique to that place so your
home has a vibration where you live has a vibration and everything
has a vibration and you can feel and Dorinda and I have a poem that
says welcome to our home, may everyone who enters this home feel the
love and light and the beauty and the laughter that is in this home
and in other words you try to create the vibration of your home in
such a way that it matches what your intention is to the way that
you choose to live. Well this is also true of our spiritual home.
This building has been standing since the 1980’s and the community
has been here since 1940’s and we have an emanation, we have a
vibration Now during all of those years not all of those vibrations
were positive yes? Put any group of people together for fifty years
and you are going to have some vibrations that are not positive. So
the idea of cleansing is to take everything that no longer serves
and let it go so that you can make everything new.
So we as a community are about becoming home in spirit and now let
me share with you some Aramaic words around spirit. Two interesting
words in Aramaic that come to me on this subject one of them is the
term “rucka” rucka is what we really mean when we say we seek to be
home in spirit. We seek to be home in rucka, rucka spirit an aspect
of the source which is available to the personal self and to
naphtha. Naphtha is high self for Christ consciousness or open
awareness to Buddha consciousness, same idea. Everyone one of us has
a high self that in our high self we know all is well, we know in
our high self Meiser Eckhart the thirteenth century mystic said the
soul has two faces, the soul has two faces one gauzes up at the
glory of God and the other directs the senses. For those of you here
for the first time you see the sunflower prominently displayed. The
reason we display the sunflower is because the sunflower is in trope
and trope means to turn to, the sunflower is always in trope to the
sun. The sunflower will always turn to the sun. Now in its natural
alignment with its nature to be in trope with the sun the sunflower
has some amazing qualities one of which is it absorbs toxins out of
the environment. Isn’t that interesting so that when we find that
you and I are in trope, when we are in tune, when we are home in
spirit aligned with this higher aspect of ourselves, this rockma
nature of ourselves. When we are aligned with that nature we have
extraordinary capacities. Capacities to give and receive love,
capacities to purity and to cleans, to bring higher vibrations and
we are no longer subject when were in trope with our highest nature,
were not subject to the conditions in the room. You notice with or
without electricity we were just fine because we are becoming in
trope to our higher nature. An aspect of the source with is
available to the small self, so I can be home in spirit and to the
high self an unseen force that operates on an exalted level and is
available to those who elevate themselves to that level in
consciousness. The definition of naphsha, soul the higher self the
essence, the breathe of life, every person has a naphsha and is a
naphsha by virtue of existence. Naphsha cannot be destroyed it is
the controlling core the organizing center of energy, the managing
agent, the source of all physical mental and emotional and spiritual
development in our high self, in this naphsha in this Christ
consciousness, everything lives. And ours is to become in trope with
our high self, to begin to listen here follow and serve our high
self. To allow our radiance to shine forth in our true nature is to
be home in rucka, home in spirit. And as we are home in spirit that
home guides and guards and protects and lifts and unfolds us. So
here we are in our community and we made some choices and when we
were in the valley and needed solution we cleansed the place to get
ready for the new and then when solutions started to occur and we
realized that we were coming home and we were inviting people to
identify with this spiritual center as a reflection of their home. I
look out now and I see our multicolored nature, our multifaceted
nature, I see beautiful men and women in every different way, shape,
form and color expressing themselves, following spirit and its a
beautiful thing as I get to look out and see your faces as I see us
as a group and then we go another level and we believe in the coming
of the cosmic Christ meaning the exalted self in all people through
all traditions by what ever name called the Buddha consciousness,
call the Atman consciousness from the Hindu perspective, call the
Christ consciousness from the Christ perspective, called the high
self from the psychological perspective or the transpersonal self,
all the same idea this rucka, this Naphsha to be home in spirit and
to bring it forth into all humanity. Now here is where it shifts yet
again. On Thursday I am in meditation and I come out and it tells me
to sage the place and when I get instructions I tend to argue and I
said I already did and we did such a good job, no and I had to look
at why bring in this energy of cleansing to get fresh and it is
because we are none of those places anymore. We are not in the hole,
we are not fixing anything, were here, if it’s going to happen to
us, it is going to happen through us. If were going to awaken the
awakening is going to happen in us.
If there is one God, one spirit, one life, if there is one love and
it is with and for itself and I am that love then I am the
instrument of that love now and so we are asking and here is the
part that I wanted to bring your attention to. You invited you there
are no them; you are invited to know our community is thriving. The
truth is when you come to the center and you leave here you should
feel better. I come because it makes me feel good, it reminds me of
who I am because I like to see the face of other souls who know me
as the face of God and I know you as the face of God. I try to get
people who are awake enough to hang out in rockma love and here we
say we are rocking out. And when you open to rockma love, rockma
love will become kuba love and then you can ask the question that I
ask myself all the time isn’t love grand and every time that you
look at your life, look at the best situation and the best
circumstances in your life, any of the best circumstances of your
life and wouldn’t it be an appropriate question for yourself in any
of those situations and everyone take a moment now and allow their
very best moment to come to them. Any moment in your life that you
were thrilled about living and notice that the question isn’t love
grand belongs there because it is not the question, it is the answer
yes, love is grand, yes love is grand. So we are at a whole new
place and what was it I was invited to do and it is done. There is
nothing to heal, there is nothing to fix, and it is what will we
become now. What do we want to be now and here’s where the movement
of the third appearance is and this is the thing that I think is so
marvelous and this is the thing that I think is so new and so
amazing if were willing to open ourselves up to it, if we are just
willing to open ourselves up to it. And that was the experience that
we had painting that hallway that you can see. This side of the
hallway has been painted why because when it comes to things that we
can do ourselves we said let’s do it ourselves. We said that and so
now doesn’t it take leadership yes it takes somebody who is willing
to say yes and everybody touch themselves and say I AM. There is no
I am that is any greater than anybody else’s I am, that’s the gift
of God to itself, the universality of life. Look the being in you
and the being in me rocks, we are the same rockma, we are the same
thing right? So we begin to love at that level, we begin to come
forth at that level and so yes there is that which is mine to do,
there is authentic action. So the various leaders stepped forward
and said I am in charge of this port folder and I will take action
and let’s have a painting day. I will get paint and I we want to
replace ceiling tiles someone says I will get ceiling tiles and then
we need people to show up to do the work and they sign up to the
list and I was here and I watched it happen from the dawn of the
day. Everybody who said yes and did yes to there yes and did what
was mine to do, the authentic action what was mine to do, everybody
did there part and they said yes to the yes and I came in here and
watched it happen in the early part of the day and there are tarps
and paint and tape and everything is going on and everybody came in
and asked the same question who is in charge? They would look at me
with that question and I would say not me and everyone is asking
what are we doing and we said we are painting and everybody came in
and found what was there’s to do. Everybody honored the Christ in
everybody else, everybody honored the awakening Buddha in everybody
else, everybody knew everybody was the face of God and as a
community we all came together with no body in charge and it was
scheduled to happen between eight o’clock and three o’clock and at
two thirty in the afternoon we were done and all was cleaned up and
put away. It was done complete finished victory one half hour before
we even projected it because everybody came together and worked in
the energy of the third appearance. What happens if we all just do
what is ours to do, what if we just follow that authentic path and
do that. So we are saying that every one of you is the Christ
capable of knowing the truth about your spiritual community. That it
reflects the truth of who you are. Everyone has the authority to ask
spirit what is mine to do? Not oh my God I have to save the day, Oh
my God I have to freak out, no, no, what is mine to do, what is my
authentic action, what is mine to do and then you know. If you say
well I asked the question and I don’t really what it is, but you
know there is a part of you that does know and at some moment it
will tell you what to do, it will tell you. Mine was to tithe, be
clear about your tithe and so this morning I did the math so that I
could keep my word to who, to myself, to myself and I said I really
want to listen to the self, I want to trust the self, I want to
follow the self, I want to be in the new standard of the self to
allow the abundance of myself to rise up and all you have to do to
allow the natural state of your abundance is find what is yours to
do. What is your piece, what is your authentic truth, what is yours
to do and you will find that it is not in that sixty thousands
thoughts a day that to do list that you think you have to do, no, it
will come to you it will emerge from you in a new place. You will
say I know what’s mine to do yes because I like a community that
rocks and I like to rockma out and hang out and it is ok with me if
my rockma becomes kuba that is special too. It is ok with me that I
begin to understand to be a spiritual being is to be alive in love,
to be home in spirit. When I get to that place, when I am totally
there I go wow here is the wealth of the community. The wealth of
this community is not in our forty six improvements over one month;
the wealth in our community is in our community. It is in that we
are willing to rockma out together and it is by being willing to
rockma out together that we learn the joy of what it is to discover
the kuba love. What it is to notice in every life giving situation
there is always the omnipresence of love and the deeper the level of
love the more joyful the experience And the more joyful the
experience I can create as I gather in universal rockma love is I
become home in spirit. The more I can create with these souls who
are already saying yes, everybody who is willing to love say yes. To
let that yes guide my life am I willing to be an instrument of love
in the world, am I willing to cause myself to vibrate to be home in
spirit, to be in trope with who and what I really am and if the
answer is yes then I am willing to have a spiritual community that
reflects that in everyway. Just like the freshness in the hallway
the freshness through the whole building, the freshness of whom we
are as a spiritual community The willingness to go back into the
beginning, to go back into the principal and dig in with all of my
being. You say what principal, whose principal, we don’t need a new
founder, we don’t need a new teacher, we don’t need a new truth we
already got the truth. We have the power of mind and spirit and we
are dealing with a fluid force. It is forever taking form and
forever deserting the form it has taken. We have deserted the old
forms, we are into everything new and that is Ernest Holmes’s who
has given us a backbone. He says try these principals, work these in
your life, work the deepest levels of love and let the law reflect
it in your life and what is the glory that can happen. So it
requires two things, number one am I willing and number two am I
willing to discern what is mine to do. What is my authentic action
around creating this community and whatever I want it to be,
whatever I want it to reflect at the highest level of what souls
gathering in the awareness of only one power and that power brings
forth love and joy and beauty and harmony and grace and magnificence
and glory. Glory beyond your wildest idea of glory to everyone, and
anyone who will say yes, yes to God, yes to spirit and yes to my
being home in spirit and recognizing that my presence here on Sunday
or any other day is not an accident, it is a commitment It is a way
of being; it’s a reflection of my willingness to be home in spirit.
And so we journey back to where we were in the beginning, everything
new, bring it on, everything different, everything true. I am ready
for my next thing to do; oh I know it’s going to be everything new.
I celebrate we are home in spirit and I celebrate that is in us and
as us and through us that from this moment on we are revealing
everything new and I invite you to think on these things and
together as we have been let us explore the possibilities.
