"The Eleventh Commandment
Joy, Joy, Joy"

Well there are two ways to look at the eleventh
commandment and of course there was really the one great commandment
of the master teacher and the masters teacher’s commandment was very
simple that we shall love one another as I have loved you. It is an
invitation to step into unconditional love. Unconditional love is
really our true nature but we have learned how to defend ourselves
from love and so the other way of looking at the eleventh
commandment is the one that we would like to look at today and it
really is about love but the eleventh commandment is really thou
shall lighten up!
Let me remind you again the eleventh commandment is thou shall
lighten up. This is good timing for this message because you may
have noticed during the course of this week there was some stuff to
get heavy about and we are in a time of rapid change. So we are
looking here now at the succession of lessons and we ended up last
week with co-join-intertwined and co-mingling, the idea being that
the presence of life the highest idea of life is already mingled
within whatever we are doing with life now. That the presence of
life that the highest idea of life is already co-mingled with
whatever were doing in life now. And I have a dream as a soul on a
journey, I have a dream as a mouth piece as a voice for the presence
itself. I have a dream in terms of my own awakening and that dream
is that we shall come to understand and embody, not just understand
but embody because the only thing you cannot have is that which you
cannot embody. So we have to create a consciousness and from
consciousness we have to draw down into our experience and create a
law of attraction, create a vibration of the very life that we are
seeking. We are the ones who must reach up and bring that forward so
my dream is that we have a humanity that becomes conscious to the
idea that we live in a metaphysical universe. That we live in a
metaphysical universe that all things seen are born from things that
are not seen. This matches the teachings of the great master who
said things that are made are not made of things which do appear.
Things that are made are not made of things that appear. Things that
are made are made from the invisible side of life, we draw from the
meta the invisible side of life from our relationship with the
divine, from our relationship with life from our entire
consciousness meaning the sum total of everything we ever think say
and do we draw and create by thinking saying and doing by praying by
invoking the most high. By evoking calling it from above, calling it
from within by invoking and evoking we are creating a consciousness
an invisible reality and this invisible reality is in fact creating
our experience.
So what we see over and over again is that the world is not cause to
itself. And so what we tend to do is sit in our chairs and watch the
news come at us and believe that the world is causing what’s
happening to us when we already know both scientifically and
spiritually that that’s not so. That the world is not cause to
itself and it is not causing us to have experience. We are the ones
having the experience so our friend the great mystic and
transcendentalist Henry David Thoreau he said it this way it’s not
what you look at that matters, its what you see. It’s not what you
look at that matters, it’s what you see and so we have come to
understand that the meta gives birth to the physical and that I am
both meta and physical I am co-joined with the meta I am entwined
with the physical and it’s all happening at once and it’s only one
thing except we understand the order circumstance is not cause to
itself.
So you may have noticed in this week as the threat, as the threat of
the demise of an entire economic system was in the air. Gee you woke
up today you woke up tomorrow it is not fine, the sky fell down
which is not what your looking at it’s what you see. What do you see
and what is in fact happening is this idea that we are born of form
and form creates form and one form leads to another form and form
will determine our future is a false idea. Form will not determine
our future as passionately as you may be concerned about the
election and you have one hundred days to decide whether the
election is going to ruin your good. You have one hundred days to
decide whether the stock market is going to ruin your good. You have
one hundred days to decide whether the consciousness of fear and
doubt is going to ruin your good. You have one hundred days to
decide whether the screen actor’s guild strike is going to ruin your
good. You have one hundred days to decide how your new life is going
to be in 09. Because we are going to draw from a different place,
were going to create from a different reality because the reality is
it’s only one and the one no matter what humanity says the one is
going on. The one is going on everbody touch themselves and say I
AM. Now in the universe how many beings are there, there is just one
because every time of the six billion souls on this planet, every
time they touch themselves or acknowledge I AM, there is only one
being there yes? Because not one of us knows how to make a kidney
kit or a liver live or a heart beat beat. It’s done unto us and
guess what the universe is going on and the universe is going
forward. The universe is already growing and expanding and going
forward and it did not listen to the CBS evening news once this last
week and it’s going on. And it is going to go on in 09 and it’s
going to go on in the new era and it’s going to go on in time the
question is what you are going to do, what you are going to be.
Because it is not what you look at that matter, it’s what you see
and so I look at the world and I see the world in flux and I see a
new order coming into play. I see a realignment of whom and what we
are. I see a new understanding of value, I see a new understanding
of co-creation immerging and I see human beings taking
responsibility for their lives. I see souls reaching up to a higher
level because they are practing a principal and you remember it
doesn’t matter what the word is. The word was in the beginning of
summer “gas prices may exceed $200.00 dollars a barrel you could be
paying $8.00 a gallon” do you remember where it was? An absolute
freak out was happening in the consciousness of humanity now I want
to point something out to you. What is the law of separation between
the vibrations between Jean and me anybody what is the law of
separation? Only my thinking you see that right we are either at one
we are either the same or were different color, different sex we
have different preference we have different ways or were the same,
you decide which one because it is not what you look at it’s what
you see. What do you see and do you see the unity of all life and do
you see the possibility that we have. So now the news goes on about
this and it shook the government it shook around the world the news
this week it vibrated all around the world and people reacted to it
all around the world. So you may have noticed in your own experience
and I don’t need a show of hands but I know that it’s true you may
have noticed your own fear coming up. What’s going to happen
tomorrow and you began because the race was vibrating in fear you
began to pick up fear and you wondered what happened to your faith
and the answer was that wasn’t your fear that was somebody’s else’s
fear that you are vibrating to close to and if you want to change
that your going to have to come back home. And home is home in
spirit home is home in God home is knowing who and what you are.
Home is remembering the universe is going on, the universe is
expanding and growing, the universe has not run out of anything. The
universe has more than enough of everything now and forever and God
is creating galaxies and universes in this moment without a dime of
cash. And it’s already happening all automatically and you are
creating your world every moment and it’s not your cash that is
creating your world it’s your consciousness that’s creating your
world. So do we see that if consciousness is everything and if the
world is awakening up to a metaphysical reality and if I already
know it’s a metaphysical reality well I may as well just lighten up.
Because it is all ok well you say it doesn’t feel like its all ok
boom now you found the working ground, now you found where the power
of a butterfly to flag its wings to change everything exists. Now
you found that you are more than a butterfly and your consciousness
can change the world and it can change your environment immediately.
It can change your environment immediately but you have to become
attentive to it, you have to be the one that looks at God’s creation
and here was the announcement last week remember I waited and waited
and it popped in and it said God and God’s creation are one. God and
god’s creation are one well wait a second if God is growing
expanding whole complete and perfect has infinite supply to meet
it’s every need and every second it demands it, it creates it and it
goes forth in an ever expanding glory and God’s creation is one what
am I freaked out about. Because the only way I could be freaking out
is if I believe creation happens without God, that’s the only way
other wise I am simply freaking out because it is my choice to freak
out and because I am getting some kind of juice out of my freak out.
And as soon as you let go of the juice the power will be gone, your
giving it juice “oh God what am I going to do” and you wait and when
you hold that position “oh God what am I going to do” and what are
you waiting for when your holding that? You are waiting for someone
to ask you what is up so you can say “”Oh God what am I going to
do”” Your just a valve waiting for somebody to touch it oh God what
am I going to do and what happens is somebody touches that from
their freak and you add more freak to it and what do you create,
“more freak“. The mental equivalent of freak is “freak“. So if you
don‘t want that your the one who has to stop you have to stop in the
moment and remember who you are. You have to stop in the moment and
change your mind, you have to stop in the morning and muscle test
yourself, pray for yourself shift yourself, use whatever tools you
have to lift yourself into the moment, why because the initial
condition, you remember the butterfly the initial condition changes
vastly the outcome. A small change in the initial condition changes
the whole outcome and we are always cause to our own effect and
every time we don’t adjust the condition, every time we buy into the
fear of the race and go with that, we create more of that. And every
time we shift we create an opportunity for others to shift with us.
Every time we remember who and what we are in the Talmud it says
every blade of grass has angels that bend over and whisper grow,
grow. Now if a blade of grass has angels whispering over it grow and
you begin to perceive that my consciousness of the divine is the
doorway is the avenue through which the divine becomes manifest. Let
me say it again I begin to perceive my consciousness of the divine
is the doorway through which the divine is becoming manifest. My
consciousness of the divine is the doorway through which the divine
is becoming manifest. My consciousness of the divine is the doorway,
touch yourself and say my consciousness of the divine, whose
consciousness, my consciousness of the divine is the doorway through
which the divine is made present. It is happening in you and the
moment you jump into the fear “oh my God” there go all my K’s, the
401, the 10k the 9k there go all my K’s the more I participate in
the diminishing K’s the less K’s I’m attracting because I am not
precipitating in the divine. I am not waking up to what is the truth
but wait a minute God is fine, I am fine who is going to hold the
consciousness to usher the divine into the world, touch yourself and
say I AM. I AM the one holding the consciousness through which the
divine is ushered into the world. I am the one and when you begin to
see that if the angels are whispering at a blade of grass imagine
what they are whispering to you. See, see you are beginning to see
and they are whispering keep seeing, see the truth, know the truth,
be the truth and the angels are saying yes you are getting it, see
just like the blade of grass it is coming up, look it is breaking
through, grow, grow it is telling you to see because your seeing is
the avenue through which God is coming into the world. You’re seeing
is the avenue through which God is coming into the world. And Ernest
Holmes says well God is not going to come to us except through us.
If God is going to see something in the world how is he going to see
it without your eyes? How is God going to see without your eyes if
the way God sees humanity is through humanity? Do you see how
important you are, you see how important your shift in consciousness
will be because your shift in consciousness yes it will find you.
God if you’re in the consciousness of squeaking through and God and
you will squeak through. If you’re in the consciousness of opening
up to the truth that what man can see he can be and what the human
being can see it can be. What the mind can conceive it can achieve.
And if I could do its nothing to it, I believe I can fly, I believe
I can touch the sky why do you think that song resonates for so
long? Because everybody knows I believe I can fly, if I can see it,
then I can be it and we recognize it and we call it forth and we
make it a song. It needs to be the hit song of your heart I believe
I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky, If I can see it, I can be
it and the angels are whispering, see, see. Use your vision to
penetrate you are the instrument through which I AM coming into the
world. I am coming into the world through you and yes change your
mind about your whole circumstance because as you do you change your
mind about the nation’s circumstances, as you do you change your
mind about the State’s circumstance. You don’t think there was a law
of correlation between the State of California and its budget issue
and the national crisis and the budget issue and your check book and
the budget issue you don’t see there is a correlation? Well we want
them to fix it and that is backwards, we live in a metaphysical
universe and that makes us metaphysicians or we go the other way we
are physical Meta issues and it doesn’t work. You can’t go that way
you have to go the other way from the whole to the part, from the
whole to the part, not the part telling me what the whole is. You
have to go from the whole to the part and the whole is already
complete and it is inviting us to see it. What do we do as Ernest
Holmes says well there is a term a new language; you have to have a
mental equivalent of the thing that you desire. Meaning there has to
be a consciousness that embodies on the inside of my life there has
to be a consciousness that embodies and from that consciousness it
moves into form and so I work on the consciousness and that’s my
mental equivalent and with whom do I work on my mental equivalent?
Answer to question “me” that’s who who do I work on my mental
equivalent with me oh you mean it doesn’t involve anyone else, nope
I would not invite anyone into your mental equivalent. I would not
call ABC news and ask them to come into your mental equivalent
conference. Because they are going to give you a mental equivalent
of fear and doubt and more fear and doubt they have it is better for
their mental equivalent because the more fear and doubt the more
commercials they sell, the more drugs they sell the more stuff they
sell the more their business increases by scaring you and is that
the God that we want?
The god of the headlines or why don’t we become the god that brings
new headlines, brings new possibilities for good, new discovery of
the wealth and human potential and what we might do and what we
might create. One of the riches kids in the world is the guy who
started Google, just a kid, just got an idea, what if we tell the
search engine to go and find things and now everyone of us knows how
to Google. Isn’t it true I don’t go to the phone book anymore I
think phone book boy is that primitive. It was an idea that didn’t
exist a few years ago and it has created billions of dollars and
Hugh amounts of information in the free flow just a kid and an idea.
How much wealth is there in the universe? If you’re going to look at
the headlines to tell you where the wealth is, they are going to
tell you there isn’t any that we ran out. No there is an infinite
field of possibilities, an infinite good is possible and so this is
the process of building a mental equivalent straight from Ernest
Holmes and he says you need to actually feel the desired good is
yours now oh. So you mean when I go in and visualize and vision
myself to be instrument through which a greater glory where people
are freed and uplifted and empowered by means of an understanding.
When I recognize that that can go further more, the more I feel that
the clearer I am to creating it and what do I do after I feel it,
you need to feel the desired good that you are seeking. Now you
can’t read the newspaper and then go after your desired good? You
can’t listen to someone else’s pain and whoa and then go after your
desired good. You can’t believe in somebody’s fear doubt and whoa
and then go after your desired good. In fact you have to do it the
other way around, you go after your desired good you begin to embody
your desired good, you begin to feel your desired good and then when
people come to you about what’s not possible, you talk to them from
your good, not from their lack of good.
And when you talk to them from your good now there is something you
need to do. It’s not oh no, no, and I have a cute story as we had a
shift of personnel this week Brandon came into to help us out and
after a full day of helping out and learning from Reverend Ann he
said oh my god I had no idea and I said we just don’t sit in the
office and “ohm” all week. There is something that must happen for
consciousness to move, there are places to put our feet, there are
things to do so here is what Ernest Holmes says. The process of
building a mental equivalent you need to actually feel that the
desired good is yours now and then he says everything you can do
objectively to promote this chosen good is of course what you will
be doing. So once you have established what it is that you mean,
once you have felt into it you have to act that way and you have to
move in the direction of that which is supporting your dreams, that
which is supporting your life path, that which matches who you are.
You have to begin but you don’t have to you can suffer but if you
want to be the instrument through which your higher good comes you
have got to build a mental equivalent and from building that metal
equivalent you have got to act on it. You have to take steps in
every direction that moves you in that direction.
So you say well I have a thought that I should call a friend that I
know who father has passed away and I have a thought that I should
call this friend and every day I have this thought to call this
friend, do you think that he is just going to get your idea? You are
not going to land it you’re not going to be able to go there and
circulate up until you make the phone call. I’m going to call my
friend is not just a thought it’s an action and you have got to call
your friend. I’m going to have a greater good then I have to move
towards that desired good.
What is the single step it may be a small step well I don’t even
know what I could do but I need to manifest a new car well go and
price the car, move in the direction of what you mean. Oh God my
finances are all a mess and one day I need to get them on a spread
sheet so I can really understand them, oh God my finances are such a
mess, what do you think you should do? Get them on a spread sheet so
that you can understand them. Oh I don’t know how to use a spread
sheet, call a friend of yours who knows how to use a spread sheet.
There is always something that you can do that will match your
mental equivalent and the taking action towards it is what will
build it and when it gets to critical mass it has no choice but to
move from the Meta and into the physical.
But our is to begin to dream it to begin to accept the angels who
are whispering in our ear lo begin to accept I am the river, I am
this part of the river where I keep flowing down the river and the
rocks keep bumping me and so were going to steer into the center of
the river and when we steer into the center of the river we are
going to realize I am not limited to the center of the river. I can
take even more of the river and no matter how much of the river I
become at one with there is still more river to become at one with.
I can recognize my consciousness is growing and I can gain and
expand because that is the natural order. The higher my
consciousness the greater my equivalent the more I can draw from a
higher level, the more I can create.
The more good I create for myself the more good I create for those
around me and we say well how do I know?
Well this summer when everybody was in their misery about the gas we
said I will tell you what there is a principal. When you begin to
anchor yourself at a higher level there is always a principal,
practice the principal and see what happens. The principal is as I
give so shall I receive, as God has already given I give and I
receive. So we say oh there he is asking for money and I knew that
was coming, no we said there was a principal give a portion of your
good away and it will come back to you and we gave you a shot. We
said tell you what don’t give anything away that you don’t want to
give away 10% of good that you don’t even have yet and a bunch of
you said yes to that and when you said yes to that we manifested
over eighty thousand dollars in your lives which meant yes because
you gave back we got some money also. So what is the principal is
the principal the world is fading away or is the principal an
abundant good, no matter what the world is doing. But if your not
aligning with the principal, if your not taking action towards the
principal your going to come and listen to the principal and get
attracted by the principal and lifted up by the principal and then
fall down as soon as you walk out the door. It will happen week
after week God that feels so good and then fall down. After a few
weeks of feeling so good and falling down you will say they don’t
have it right so I’m going to go someplace else where I can go get
lifted up and then fall down. And finally you go around to all the
new thought churches all around the city and you get lifted up and
you fall down and finally you realize I think there is something
about the principal that I am not getting. And the principal says to
the degree that you participate in the principal the principal is
yours. Any principal says to the degree that you participate in the
principal, the principal is yours and we say the universe says yes.
The universe says yes to your good, the universe says yes you are
the awakened Christ; you are the place where the greatest good is
happening. We are the field through which something powerful is
taking place, the universe says yes and when you say yes to that yes
you start watching it in your own life and we say oh those days are
coming so I don’t have to give 10% and you look oh it’s not coming
in any more and you wonder why because what stopped? Did the
principal stop or did you stop working the principal and we find it
again and again.
It is like that story more than twenty years ago I am at a party
when somebody knew I was a practitioner and they said oh Harry is a
practitioner and some people said oh I use to go to that church I
use to participate in that spiritual center and when I did I had
relationships and love and she said maybe I should go back to that
center, hello? Did the principal quit or did she quit the principal
and we realize wait a minute there is one God everywhere present,
God and God’s creation are one. I am in god’s creation I am one with
God and god’s creation are one. God is not having a crisis oh I am
the avenue through which a new good is revealed. I am the avenue
through which a new good is revealed in my life. I am the avenue
through which a new good is revealed in anybody else’s life because
any good that I get for myself I am going to share and that good
belongs to everybody that encounters me wherever I go. It is an
expanding principal the more you use it the more the principal
expands. The more you step into the principal the more principal
will be revealed and a new and higher order of being starts working
in your faith. So when you are on the path wherever you are on the
path to a new and higher order being revealed and all you have to do
is remember who you are. And all you need to do is hang out with
people who remember who you are and we say why I go to a spiritual
center answer to hang out with people who remember who I am. To get
support in my own remembering who I am and the more I remember who I
am the more power I have, the more power I have the more good I can
do, the more love I have the more love I have to give and it begins
to expands as a way of being. And I say when it begins to expand as
a way of being you may as well just let go of the drama, just let
go, thou shall lighten up and If I lighten up and its God and gods
creation and god looks at gods creation and says it is good then god
must be good so its all good so I tell you what. Joy-Joy-Joy that is
how we get there and it is up to me if I want to lighten up and its
up to me if I want my life to be joy filled and its up to me to
create the living equivalent of joy and love and laughter and growth
and harmony and abundance and creativity and light and love, it’s
all up to me and I say put the music on and let’s dance. My friends
it is my honor and privilege with you today to practice and all that
we have to do is love each other, forgive each other and have lots
of picnics.
