I have been serving on the advisory board for the Association for Global New Thought since it was founded and I have watched and participated as we continue to do very good work in the world. There are many different avenues and ways through which new thought the philosophy of new thought is bringing good into the world. But I think where we are right now is a very interesting time and some of you may have noticed in your life the experience of fear. And we can understand why and we refer to that fear as the world speak the world speak meaning that which were being fed by the race all the time and the world speak is filled with all kinds of fear. You will notice that when you look outside today that in fact the sky is not falling and nor is it going to fall and as we shared with you last week in clear language it is not intent of the holy spirit itself that the light workers in the world shall go down with the crumble, that’s is not what’s happening. It is not the intention of the father mother god the principal of all creation that your faith shall leave you void and that has never been nor is it now the truth. What is in fact the truth is that your faith will make you whole. You faith will be the eyes through which you will see the whole new world. Of course the challenge for us is what’s happening now is how I live in the new energy as opposed to continued to be afraid of the crumbling of the old energy. And so what I want to talk about today and what I really want awe and wonder to be about is to remind you to move in the direction of your dreams.
That is important that every day you move in the direction of your dreams and you’ll find something extraordinary about that conscious choice, the choice to move in the direction of your own dreams. The extraordinary thing that you will find about that choice is that fear does not go with you when you step forward. Fear stays when you’re not sure where to go or you don’t know where to put your feet? Because then we listen to the world speak the world speak begins to penetrate us and then we begin to believe the world speak and according to a perfect principal as you believe so shall it be done unto you. So we are in a rapidly changing time and the time requires that we live in this upstairs level of consciousness.
I referred to the teacher last week Emma Curtis Hopkins who reminded us that there is a position called the high watch and that position called the high watch is to not participate in the circumstances of fear and doubt but rather to participate no matter what it is going on to participate with your highest levels of love and faith. Which means that we have to make a choice moment by moment as I shared with you last week, we have to make a choice moment by moment to live in love or in fear. We have to make that choice and so what we have learned and what were in the process of learning that consciousness creates your experience and so I want to remind you the process of growth and today for a few minutes give you some thoughts and ideas that you might be able to begin to practice and you notice that if you hear ideas and do not practice these ideas, then nothing shifts. You will feel better for a few moments because we have talented inspirational souls in prayer and meditation and you will come into that field and you will feel it and you will be empowered and if you do not take any action the sense of empowerment will rapidly fade away. And you will be like the guy on the island you need to go to a new church because that one was not fulfilling it. And what you see it was never the church that was fulfilling you, it was never the spiritual center that was fulfilling you it was what you did with what was in the spiritual center that fulfills you. And so this is a Hugh call and in the midst of the presence of our fears sometimes we won’t know where to move. Sometimes we come into fear or flight, very normal animalistic response fear or flight and very often we become paralyzed. We become simple stuck “I don’t know what the news is telling me or what Dr. Harry is saying is true”. I don’t know what Jesus is telling me is true or what the news is telling me is true. I don’t know if what Michael Beckwith is true or if the news said is true. I don’t know whether I should hear it in North Hollywood or whether in Culver City. We get paralyzed and we move laterally and wonder why nothing shifts because all you did was change the name you did not change the consciousness that creating it. So what we do here we really have two things that we do in this spiritual center. We have two things that we are called to do in this spiritual center and really only two things and I will quote the great metaphysician Ernest Holmes who write the book the Science of Mind powerful concept in which we can view the trinity of all life and find out where we belong in that trinity. Spirit soul and body cause medium and effect, how do I work the principal of life and find myself in it and Ernest Holmes reminded us these two things. He said there are only two things we are to do is to heal and teach and teach and heal and nothing else. To heal and teach and to teach and heal and nothing else and of course we say what do you mean to heal? There is no one of us in this room that is a healer there is every one of us in this room by means of our divinity can be an avenue through which healing is revealed. So that is the line that Jesus said I of myself am nothing but the father within me who doeth the work. I will remind you that the word Abba was the Aramaic word that Jesus spoke and when he said Abba he was not talking about a masculine principal he was talking about a masculine and feminine principal he was taking about an endogenous principal that endogenous principal is I am both cause I am also the receiver and I am also the birther of everything that I create. I am cause I am that masculine idea that initiates, I am that feminine idea that receives in womb and creates and I am that with is birthed from. Behold I am the holy law itself. It is our rising up as Emma Curtis Hopkins says going into the high watch and holding the higher vibration that will bring about the greater good. And where we are in our time is understanding and were moving more and more and so this was my experience in the conference we had a defense strategist right out of the Pentagon talking about strategies that empower people. We had Lynn Mctagert who is a new reporter who has now been doing all kinds of conscious work around intention. So we had John Hager who is a quantum physic’s and is now applying those ideas of quantum physics to politics and what we had in the room was all of these people telling people who already know that conscious creates what the potentials of conscious might be. We are talking to a group of people and it is like singing to the choir about how to make music and what you don’t need to do is sing to the choir about how to make music you need to make music with the choir do you see it? You need to make music with the choir not just sing about music and so were at a time where we need to begin to practice the principal of consciousness and we are at a time where we need to practice the principal of consciousness as our way of being. And when we begin to practice the principal of consciousness as our way of being we can begin to notice that the things of the world that use to scare me so deeply do not scare me so deeply anymore. It doesn’t mean that we don’t have concern for the world and it doesn’t mean that we should not show up and put our feet in service where it is appropriate no because consciousness is created by the sum total of everything you think say do and feel. It is created by the sum total of everything you think say do and feel so when you fall down stairs and when you believe the story of the world you remember it happened just this week if you were watching the news we were suppose to be rescued by the plan and no sooner do we get it done then they immediately say that is not really the rescue plan because things of the world do not create things of the world. And the world will not be rescued until the consciousness of revival and restoration returns to the people. That’s when it will be rescued because what is sending it and you remember in the surplus energy program because everything we do is either advancing our consciousness in the direction of our dreams or it’s doing the opposite. Everything we do everything we think say do and feel is either advancing our consciousness or it’s doing the opposite and here is a simple way of remembering this. You are either moving toward your dream and if your not moving toward what you are wanting and I want to make sure that you hear this. If you’re not moving powerfully toward what you want you are moving powerfully away from it. If you are not moving powerfully toward what you want by default you are moving powerfully away from it. Oh so when I decide to believe that my good was dependent on whether the congress could rescue us you find out even when the congress quote unquote rescued you even according to congress your not rescued. Now where is the solution living that way? If you wait for an event in the world to save you then you find out the event in the world doesn’t save you where does that leave you? Right back where you started you are even moving powerfully toward your goals and dreams and desires or you’re automatically moving powerfully away from them. So it is a good idea to keep switching huts and will my hut hopping actually creates new consciousness and I suggest the era of hut hopping is over! Because what is required is that we do hooky poky and dive all the way in and it is only when you decide I am a spiritual being and touch yourself and say I AM. See that statement of I AM brings with it everything that the I AM actually is and what the I AM is beyond all form always is always will be in and through and as all creation and never ever bound by its creation. Never bound by its creation and you are born in the image of the I AM which means you are always way more than anything you have created or participated in yet. You are always more than that so why would you allow that to determine who you’re going to be? So what we begin to understand is how it really works and I will remind you in a very simple way. I am going to give you some tools of how to work with. So here is what they said all week long which I have been saying now for almost twenty years consistently. That the only authority there is in the entire cosmos is consciousness, it’s the only thing real, everything else comes and comes to pass. Consciousness is the only thing real and when you begin to separate yourself not from your body, do you have a body and I can show you in my body where there are lots of purples in my legs. The reason I have the lovely purples in my legs is because during the course of this lifetime in my body I have had blood clots and the clots have caused my body to find a new way in order to get the circulation to flow. So instead of flowing in the main veins which are blocked in a lot of ways it finds another way just like when you hit a freeway it backs up and what do you want to do you try to find some alternate route to get to where your going yes? So my body once in awhile says your not strong, your legs are not working right something is not right and I have a choice I can surrender to that reality. I had seventeen doctors tell my wife twenty years ago that I was not meant for this world and I could have surrendered to that idea except that idea would have said your body determines who you are and my body does not determine who I am and as a matter of fact who I am determines what my body is and I’m going to ski this season better than I have ever skied before! Because consciousness creates my experience, oh no but the sky is falling well Telluride Colorado wants my Christmas deposit and they don’t care that the sky is falling so I have a choice either that I believe the sky is falling and my good is diminishing or I believe the spirit of god that I am says I am on planet earth and we have snow here and I am skiing do you see this? If you are a skier or you like the ocean you should do a lot of this while your on this planet because we know its a long way till there is another planet with skiing and ocean on it. Do you see it and I don’t know what the holy spirit has in mind for me in this enfolding expansion of my soul for eternity but now this is the place where there is skiing. So you make the choices to align with the environment that you’re in and to align with the environment that you’re in to draw forth the best from this environment. Has anybody in this room ever had the experience of a magnificent sunset and you know that is all an illusion there is no such thing as a sunset. It doesn’t even exist there is an earth roll and you happen to notice it and you call it the beginning and the end the day and the night but it isn’t that it’s only your perception of what it is. In truth the sun is shinning and the earth is spinning but we don’t go around saying did you see the earth roll tonight? Same with the dawn we call it the dawn of a new day because our consciousness is using the environment to bring forth what it wants to extract from what is so. So you can decide that you are abundant beyond measure that the self of myself finds a way to express and the commodity of God his divine ideas and I have not found the ideas that I mean to match my own wealth yet. Does that mean those ideas are not there no? Oh I have tried everything oh that’s a good line well if you have tried everything well guess what your stuck and you are in the limited universe. But in consciousness there is no such thing as limit, in consciousness the infinite field of potential is there to say what will you become in it, who do you choose to be in it, when will you decide to be alive, awake and aware and in tune with the great opportunities of your life. Because if you go into the day believing the sky has fallen you will experience the day as the sky has fallen day. And when you say no I’m not having any of that I’m rising up and God and I are creating a magnificence thing in this day, I am living from my consciousness in this day, I will find out how to be of sacred service in this day then that will happen in your experience. But you have to call it in behold spirit stands at the door and knocks and says what will you become, what will you create out of the day, will you believe in the lack and limitation being preached all around you or are you going to wait for another eight years for another presidential campaign for another thing to say now we are doing good so I will do good. No you have the choice to decide how you will be today. So how do I build my consciousness if consciousness creates experience how do I build my consciousness? Well sense it is made of everything you think say do and feel you begin to purpose yourself toward feeling right. I meditate everyday why because there is a book that says meditate everyday and your consciousness will expand, no, no, I mediate because I remember when I meditate what it is to feel the presence of the most high. And from that place I can create but when I don’t remember and I spin of the sixty thousand thoughts a day, ninety eight percent of which are repetitive when I spin in those thoughts I cannot even feel good and I can pray until I am blue in the face and my prayer is not going to feel good. My words fly up my thoughts remain below Shakespeare said, words without thoughts will not to heaven go meaning words without feeling will not go anywhere. You have got to put the feeling into it well how by looking around you and finding where is the beloved. Where is the beloved, do I have to agree with everything that you say no but can I agree that I’m totally and completely in love with you, yes. After that it doesn’t even matter whether I’m a red state or a blue state or any other color in between. If I know I’m god and you know your god what difference does it make but we have to choose that higher ground. Each one of us is obligated to draw from the well spring of our own inspiration what empowers us. And so if you need to get music around you that empowers you, get some music around you, if you need to have thoughts and ideas around you that empower you do so by getting the CD get the books, get them around you. If you need to be around people who remind you that God is the substance and source of all things then show up to be around those people as opposed to oh my god it is early on Sunday morning and I want to read the newspaper just so I can have my Sunday morning experience to hold my thoughts down low which means the equivalent of low is low. If all your going to draw out of your Sunday is the newspaper and football you might miss something. These things will have a much higher place in your life if your context is correct which is everything is happening as a result of my consciousness, is my consciousness creating what I mean and how do I work on my consciousness?
So here is where we get practical if consciousness creates my experience and here is the scale and it starts with I first don’t know anything about consciousness. We call that CIN. Then someone gives you a copy of the Secret and oh the law of attraction and that is interesting and that sounds a lot better than my not knowing anything about it. So it goes from CIN to CIS consciousness is something and that when we start our hut searching. Oh this is the hut where I belong oh this is the hut and we hop from hut to hut and never getting past CIS, consciousness is something. And we get a little bit better and we start parking better when we know consciousness is something. Then we get to the most dangerous place and here is where we get some elaborate hut hopping and we start hopping around because we really have come to understand as what they call CIVI, we have really come to understand that consciousness is very important. So this is what we do we go to seminars, and I went and hung out with Deepak Chopra and I really believe in consciousness oh yes but am I invested right and we split between two worlds believing that consciousness is creating my portfolio and believing I can study these ideas so long as I cover myself. So long as I don’t step too far on the edge and actually believe in God the living spirit almighty. I don’t want to become nuts and believe in God the living spirit almighty. And the further we get into consciousness is very important the more split we get and we keep thinking well I put a thousand dollars more into the Deepak seminar that good should be coming back to me somewhere and well ok I will go to a Wayne Dyer seminar oh no I’ll go to Michael Beckwith seminar and now I’ll add Marianne Williamson in there, now I really know how to move in the world. And we wonder why we cannot move in the world because I have straddle myself so far between these divine ideas that would transform my entire experience and holding onto something real. And the one thing that we know about what we hold onto that we think is real is there is no stability in anything static. Principal there is no stability in anything static well then how do I get my portfolio to be strong. You build the consciousness of that strength and your portfolio will begin to match you, not you holding onto your portfolio believing it’s a version of “god. Because it is not and it never will be because no matter who you are and no matter what’s in your portfolio you cannot take it with you! The consciousness can create the portfolios is yours and that goes with you where ever you go and so if it is everything I think say and do well what becomes important in building a consciousness? What becomes important is that you begin to do everything from that place. And then here is where it comes into community because we all inherited some crazy ideas from some crazy past and the ideas about spiritual community is the mother church will provide but in real spiritual community there is no such thing as the mother church because there is nothing between me and god. There cannot be anything between me and god and how did the mother church get the money and the answer was through war and conquering and creating pain and suffering they created wealth by means of war. Most of the histories of human wars have been caused by religions some by territory but mostly by religions.
Well what does that mean well it means the concept that you inherited that god is somehow free or god is coming to you because you belong to some sect or born under a certain star is absolute insanity? God is only coming to you directly to you god is only coming directly to you according to your consciousness and that’s the only way for God to get there. There is no other way and so when we begin to realize well then if God is coming directly to me and I am the beloved in whom God is well pleased then God has got to be working with me in my consciousness and if its not working my work is to be an Israelite which means one who wrestles with God and in other words you are working on your abundance consciousness and we know that we have the concept that God is the substance and source of all things and that consciousness creates but mindful the substance of God is ideas because whatever is going to happen to you is going to happen through you so you have to begin to look for the rich substance of ideas and so we say one of the ways to begin to demonstrate your good is to be connected to your good. One of the ways to do that is to know that whatever good you get it goes beyond you. In the new energy in the new era you want to see things happen fast in your life start doing things for the benefit of others. Even if it means I don’t want to do that then call at the center we have things you can do. You can do something here to be of service to someone else. Do something to spread good to someone else. Do something to start initiating someone else’s good. If you know someone is in pain go down there in their pain and meet them and say what can we do from here, I’ll be here with you at this zero point. Let’s go from here and create but let’s do yours first and don’t worry about mine because if we do yours mine will come. But you have got to genuinely care about the other because you’re taking that false border and you’re dissolving it out of your caring and compassion. You begin to step in and so this means what I think what I say and what I do. So if you want to prosper you have to give away money and I know that is hard and we think how can I give if I don’t have but the system works the other way. Give and you shall receive and so we say it is a scary time set and I know it is a scary time set. Anything thing that you do and here is the Henry David Thoreau line to the ones who have endeavored to live the life they have imagined they will meet with the success unexpected in common hours. A new and higher order will begin to establish themselves in and around you. Are you ready for a new and higher order in and around themselves? But you see what is required to the ones who have endeavored to live the life you have imagined you have got to first imagine the life that you mean. You have got to take the time to go into the holiest of holy grounds your imagination and create what you mean by your life meaning success. The success unimagined, you have got to imagine it because only when you have imagined what your life fulfilled looks like can you take any action that will move you in that direction. Otherwise how would you know where to go? You have got to take the action to move yourself in that directions so we say you have an abundance problem. So what I would love to say is you have a problem so just come here because the mother church has provided this space through which you can hang out and out of your non commitment if you hang out long enough you will be provided for and eventually you will make a decision to free yourself from the holy bonds of mom. Do you see why that method doesn’t work because it was never based on a true concept, it is not accurate no! You come into a spiritual community so you can learn principals and as soon as you think you know any part of any principal march toward it. I can’t march toward it as I don’t understand it completely.
In my workshop I decided to teach forgiveness for two days and I said no matter what you do don’t go practice this on your own. You should practice forgiveness anyway you even think you know how to do it. Any movement that you take in the direction of that principal is going to do you good. So what is consciousness and what is it to be an Israelite, Israelite means to wrestle with God so we have something called the unexpected good program.
This is how we set it up to teach you principals but if you missed the reason that we set it up we have to go back again and re-set and see if we can get it right this time. You take 10% of the money and there is only one place in the Bible where it makes reference to tithing at all and it’s in Malachi and the quote is this bring your tithes to the storehouse and I will pour you out a blessing greater than you have room to receive. Tithe in those days people did not know how to do math but everyone had ten fingers and they said give one finger back and then you still have all nine fingers but you have given one fingers worth of your stuff back and do that and the spirit of the lord itself, the spirit of the law of life will take your giving and multiply it and pour you out a blessing greater than you have room to receive and most of us go I’m not giving away 10%? I will join Catherine Ponder the great writer from the last century who says give away 10% of something. If I get money that I didn’t know I would have I will give you 10% of that and you would be up 90% but more than that you would already be in a principal. You would be giving before you even got which is where were trying to get ourselves to go. So that we become connected to giving whatever we get and that is the principal that we are trying to offer. So I tithe 10% of all the money I make from my ministry and I don’t to it because I have to I do it because I want to and I understand that is a difficult place to get where we actually feel good about it. When this becomes automatic we begin to put our feet where our mind says I want to believe. I want to believe because where does it go it goes from consciousness is nothing to consciousness is something to consciousness is very important to consciousness is everything and when I really begin to know that consciousness is everything I can do everything in my life to work on my consciousness so here is how it works. I will give 10% of unexpected good away the next part of the responsibility is to treat for the good of everybody else who signed the agreement. Their good first everyone else who give 10% of good back to the spiritual center I want them to succeed so my prayer is about other people automatically because I signed that card. The next thing is I have to expect my good, your unexpected good. What are the ways that unexpected good can come for you? It could come in the mail, in a wire, from a job you did not have, it could come from a diner you did not know, you don’t know all the places it is going to come but I will tell you if you get through a day and you did not get any unexpected good you best go have a talk with God. You understand that were Israelites and were not wrestling with the world no my beloved father mother god creator of all things infinite supply, infinite universe infinite cosmos that I can see with my eyes. I am giving away unexpected good and I did not get any today what is the matter, do you see it? Now can you talk that way to god and will he get upset with you if you talk god seriously? No god is going to say it’s about time you came in the upper room and had a conversation, do you see it? Because it is not coming out the way that you want it you need to go back to god and you tell god your best understanding of the principal and you tell god why it should work and you tell god I want it to show up in my life now! And then you look to see where your blessings are but don’t argue with a piece of paper, don’t argue with your checkbook, don’t argue with your portfolio they have no power and they will never have any power. Your power comes from your consciousness and your consciousness is you and your relationship with God. Do you need some kind of authority to talk to god? I Harry Moses pronounce you totally able to have a direct conversation with the divine. And if it’s not coming out you have a direct conversation about what you mean and you begin to say I am a spiritual being and anything else is absurd idea. I am a spiritual being born in the image and likeness of god and god you best be showing up for me today.
When you talk directly to god god will answer you directly, when you say what is the matter with my consciousness, god will show you what’s the matter with your consciousness and then you have a right to change your mind, to uplift your consciousness and create a greater experience. That is what it is all about and now is the time because we are in a shifted area and were going from old energy to new energy and you have a choice. You can go into old energy VI energy and you can try and walk in the world and get by or you can change your mind and you can say god is the only thing now and god is the only thing for all time and god and I for eternity are going to dance and make music for the glory of the most high and that is a choice that I make from the inside and when I make that choice from the inside and I everyone who will remind me of who I am to help me remember who I am, to call me upstairs then that’s what I’m going to do. And when you see me living downstairs I hope you have the eyes and the wisdom to say get a hold of yourself and get upstairs. The world does not need anymore people living downstairs we have enough and we need upstairs life.
So this is what I see from up here the awe and wonder of the new energy being born on earth. From up here I see my good magnify because the world needs to know about new energy and were new energy teachers. I see my good expanding because the world wants to know what were talking about and I have plenty of time to say it. I see my good being so fine in 09 because I am creating the energy of what it is to feel so fine and to be alive in the spirit of the living god. And when you carry that energy with you out the door and into your world, when you sign up and say yes god you can rely on me and god says right back to you yes my beloved in you I am well pleased. So I invite you to look at the idea and make the claim in your life today say yes god, say yes god I am your soul on this journey and I am only here for god and watch with awe and wonder as the glory unfolds in your life. My friends it is my honor and privilege to be with you today and I invite you to think on these things and together let us explore the possibilities.
