Wealth"

Ernest Holmes wrote a book outlining the ideas of
presence and principal and as we talked about last week in health we
know the ideas remain the same that there is always a divine
presence that which we look for that which we look to commune with
we find that in our love and affection for one another. We find that
very often in the stillness of our own meditations and our moments
of noticing the beauty of life. We find it sometimes in our deepest
struggles when we know we have to draw on something beyond what
appears to be. So there is this presence and this presence is what
we would call love. You know the teaching in its simple form is the
teaching of love, the presence of love the presence of the Holy
Spirit, the presence of spirit by whatever name you give it.
Whatever you call the Atman, the Buddha, the high self, the creator
that logos that perfect pattern already birthed in each of us. That
presence is perhaps the richest and most powerful thing we will ever
find and we see many souls yearning to find that presence or
yearning to make it real, to believe in the presence and then we
learn a little more about the presence itself and we see the
presence is commingled with the principal that wherever there is
presence there is always a principal. But the principal is
omnipresent meaning every where present, there is a principal and
presence that are together always You will never find principal
without presence and you will never find presence without principal
however many people are operating principal without any presence
Meaning the law the principal which is the principal of cause and
effect, what we call the law of mind or the law of karma, reframed
most recently in the film the secret called the law of attraction.
But we all know that the law of attraction is really simple the use
we are making of the one law the sum total of our consciousness,
everything we think say do and feel. Everything we think say do and
feel is impressing this law and we are in fact constantly creating
by means of our total consciousness So this law of consciousness
becomes the thing that is new about new thought, not new in that
where ever there has been the presence, where ever there is the
presence of life anywhere there is always the principal. But new in
terms of our understanding of not realizing that there is no such
thing as a hidden anything No such things as a hidden anything for
everything we think say do and feel we are accountable for and this
was the thing that was not known. The idea that we could somehow
sin, remember when you hear the term sin we want to fall into an old
religious logy like we did something wrong but there is no sin but a
mistake and no punishment but the logical outcome. Same as the
archery term it simple means when you aim at the target and you miss
the mark, you sin you didn’t hit where you were aiming.
So we say well if I’m missing the mark, if I’m looking to create in
my life everything that would make my life what I mean then that
might be wealth yes? If I were able to create everything in my life
that would be what I mean I would be hitting the target, I would be
on the mark, I would be Christed meaning I would be full orbed into
the awareness of who and what I really am. I would become the
enlightened one, the Buddha consciousness. I would be that Atman
presence for wherever I go the love of my light, Meister Eckhart the
thirteenth century mystic he said the soul has two faces one gazes
at the glory of God and the other directs the senses and if we were
in trope if we were in tune if we were turning always to our high
self, always to our ascended state of consciousness and everyone has
an ascended state of consciousness. But most of us experience our
own ascended state of consciousness randomly, we luck into it. The
sunset hits just right and our loved ones said exactly the right
thing to us at the right moment and then awe we ascended; this is
what it is to be alive. But we say there is a science of mind, there
is a way to use the principal and have it respond to me because I am
deliberately raising my vibrations. I am deliberately ascending to
the highest place of my own being. I am deliberately dissolving
every thing that would cause me to feel as though I was other or
separate. It is a principal which can be practiced, a principal
which can be practiced meaning if I practice to work within the
principal I will begin to notice that the presence is always with
me. That the gift of the presence to each one of us has always been
the principal, the gift of the full expression of the principal of
life is already given to everybody and it is given to you whether
you know about it or not. And we certainly can look out into the
world and say much of the world doesn’t know about it yes? So if we
call back as the wisdom of the masters says and forgive them they
know not what they do, they know not what they do. Do you not know
people who create misery and brag about their misery and do not know
that at the same time there creating more misery? You begin to
witness that people are in fact cause to their on experience, that
people really are working, co-creating by means of they are always
co creating because the principal is of God, everything is of God.
Everything is God and if there is one God and all are one then
everything is an activity of the principal
Ernest Holmes says the universe is self governing and self
propelling yes it will always protect itself. The light overcomes
the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not. There will never
be a time when darkness comprehended light, the light comes on the
darkness dissipates, that is the way that it goes. So many people
are carrying around this consciousness of re-creating the same
neurotic thought patterns and it was Freud who said a neurotic
thought pattern meaning one you don’t want, a neurotic thought
pattern has a tendency to repeat itself with a monotonous
regularity. Have you noticed? Have you noticed that in your life in
these areas of life and here our series is called the Science of
Mind for everything, what we are wanting to make clear is the
principal works for everything. There is no thing, no area of your
life where the principal is not relevant, where the principal isn’t
at cause. The principal is what causes everything because there is
only one life and there is only one principal and you cannot
separate the life and the principal. They are co-existent and
co-eternal and the good news for you and me is we have discovered
it. We have come to recognize that there is no such thing as a
disconnected anything. The wrist bone is connected to the and do you
get it there is no such thing as disconnected anything. When I had
the experience of flabitious and the vascular surgeon years ago put
a microphone on the vein so you could hear the veins flowing and he
would push on a major muscle and he would push the muscle and you
would hear the whish, the major muscle was pushing hard. Meaning no
place you could touch the body that doesn’t affect everything else,
no such thing as a disconnected anything. Everything is connected to
everything else, there is no such thing that happens by accident,
that would be universally out of principal, there is always the
principal and it is self governing and self propelling and its
principal is one of harmony. We know its one of harmony because it
is eternal. Now have we seen in the human condition if we look at
the history of man have we not seen discord rise up so much so that
we called one world war one and we were not that good at it and so
we did it again world war two right? We see always everything is
connected there is no such thing as a disconnected anything.
Everything is connected and so yes there is discord in the human
condition but that discord in the human condition has never wiped
out eternity. Eternity goes on no matter what humanity does eternity
goes on. The universe is self governing and self propelling, if will
always find a way back to harmony, it will always find its way back
to harmony. And you and I look at our lives and we have these areas
of the lives, the area of health and we say there is a perfect
pattern of your existence. So bear with me for a moment because we
are getting to wealth. So here’s this original perfect idea and
you’re recreated in the image of that perfect idea and from that
recreation you are free. But you are not free of the law, no one is
free of the law, everyone is guided by this law upon you, everyone
and so you now are free to think as you will. Born in the image and
likeness of God which is free, you were born I AM that which is all
freedom. I am that which is before Abraham announced I AM and I
created you in the image and likeness of myself and I am. Everybody
touch themselves and say I AM, see I’m not making this up you are. I
AM is a true statement about you, I AM is a true statement. So now I
am free in the image and likeness of God and I am free to think say
and do and feel anything I want. So I begin to grow up and when I am
first born they tell me every adult that ever comes into my life has
the world evolved around me. Every baby ever see a baby in a room
watch nine adults go silly and so we are trained you are the center
of the universe and then you turn two and you go no, you are not the
center of the universe anymore We teach you that you are so that you
can discover that you are not, so right in that first year we begin
to start to make some assumptions and we start building up a
structure of knowing that is separate than this original idea that
we were created from and we diminish ourselves, we make ourselves
smaller and smaller and then we believe in our fear of wealth, we
believe in our fear of running out, we believe oh my God the source
of my good is this job, the source of my good is my work, the source
of my good and then that is taken away or the company goes under and
we go oh my god, I have nothing left but wait I was born here and I
created all of these beliefs and I get further and further away from
my original self. My original self was born in the image and
likeness of the cosmos simple draws a breathe from itself and births
forth planets and galaxies and stars and life forms, with every
breathe of its own creation expanding never worrying about running
out of itself because it knows what it is but we over here, we
forgot who we were and way over here we forgot and someone says oh
no but you don’t understand my wealth, the wealth that I don’t have
has an explanation. And always the law responding to the sum total
of our deductions, always taking our syllogisms whatever we say is
true if this is so and this is so then this must be so, that the
economy is this way then this must be so. If its red states and blue
states then this must be so and we just go all the way out to the
end never having in anyway ever diminish the original perfect
pattern of my existence, do you see it? It was always there no
matter what I do with it over here it doesn’t matter its always
there perfect in the image and likeness of God, born as the Christ
the Atman the Buddha the high self, already there and way out here
at the end somebody says no the science of mind is for everything.
Walk back look back follow yourself back to yourself and then begin
to create from there. So now let’s look at this idea of then the
Science of Mind for wealth. Let me give you the definition out of
the American Heritage dictionary for wealth. Wealth the first
definition an abundance of valuable material possessions or
resources. Ok that is a definition of wealth. This is the one that
I’m interested in the second one and the second one says. A state of
being rich affluent oh let me remind you where the word affluence
comes from. When two streams come together, you know what that place
is where they come together is called it is called an affluence.
That was where that word was born from. When the streams come
together, when all of a sudden you have this water and this water
and you have so much water you have an affluence of water. And you
and I are born in this opportunity to come into the flow of our
existence but if we believe that affluence or wealth is simple
having stuff then we will miss the river that is real wealth. For
the river of real wealth is to know that the substance and source of
my life is now, has always been born in the image and likeness of
God and God is all things, God is wealth.
God creates the heavens and the earth that is bursting planets at
this very moment and God does not have a penny. God doesn’t need a
penny because God is the wealth and we in this plane of existence
energy and money are equal and interchangeable terms, money is just
energy congealed it is just stuff congealed into that form and we
give it values and this much is congealed and that much is congealed
and is congealed as a five, a ten or a twenty and you get the idea,
it is just congealed energy. We say how much is congealed in any
given bill any given amount of it, but it is always drawing from the
same stream, its always drawing from the same stream. So I ask you
to consider that wealth is not how much stuff you have, wealth is
whether you are in the stream of affluence. If you are flowing so
much around you that it comes and it goes and you become a part of
that stream and its doesn’t matter what you hold on to because
holding onto it and they have a word for what they call holding on
to it, they call it a dam which is blocking it. So some of us should
get un-dammed don’t you think? To begin to allow ourselves to come
into the flow of what is really wealth and what is really wealth is
my capacity to create my world as I want it. Oh when you say real
wealth then is not stuff, real wealth is knowing to come into the
faith is knowledge asserted to the level of belief, really knowing.
To when I really know I am one with the stream when I really know I
am tired of my struggles then I will let them go.
When I really know I am tired of my struggles I will let them go and
can I have an amen There are two definitions of the word amen and
one of them means bring it forth One means and so it is and the
other means bring it forth and so I say amen, bring it forth, bring
it forth and I no longer need to participate in my struggles but
this false creation that you have over here, this belief in yourself
is something other than that original cause it has little ways of
fooling you. It has ways of helping you stay small because somehow
it is believed that your suffering is making you feel alive. Let me
say that again somehow in this structure of knowing that you created
from your original ascended self in the structure of knowing that
you have gone through and you are coming out to the far country to
return home in the father’s mother’s house with a big celebration
waiting for you.
We have to realize that this is all this structure will try to fight
for itself because it’s what you know as yourself, because it is
what you know as yourself If I am not suffering according to the way
I know my suffering how will I know who I am. I will give you an
example it doesn’t matter how much stuff you’re surrounded by in my
life I grew up surrounded by stuff until it all went away. When it
all went away I had to come to the realization that even though this
stuff which was my parents and my grandparents and my heritage, this
is not the source of my good. The river is the source of my good;
the affluence is the source of my good. Being in the river is the
source of my good. And so it doesn’t matter how my stuff you have,
stuff will come and stuff will go but if your consciousness rises
up, if your consciousness becomes the source on which you rely. If
you begin to rely on your relationship with the divine, if you began
to rely on your relationship with the divine as the only thing real
all of a sudden you will start noticing there is abundance all
around you simple waiting for you to see it, to claim it, to own it,
to give praise for it because your praise for that which is good
will attract more of that which is good. And conversely your
discovering that that is not what you mean and that is not what you
like that will help you clarify your intention. Because we are again
saying that wealth in the science of mind for everything, wealth is
my capacity to create the life I have imagined. When I am willing to
live and create the life I have imagined I will meet with the
success unexpected in common hours as Henry David Thoreau says An
unexpected good when I am willing to live from the wealth of my own
being, when I am willing to become a co-creator and we say well how
do we co-create and the energies of humanity are saying wait a
minute I don’t like being way out here at the end.
You know one of the things that I liked about the politics this week
and I like politics the same way I like football, it is just
entertaining to me and the talking heads were going on and on about
the New Hampshire thing and they are saying well you know the people
in Iowa and New Hampshire they seem to be proud of themselves and
they said why and it is because look at whom they are choosing. They
get to choose between an African American man with a Caucasian
mother and a women and this is the same nation that just a few
decades ago could not look at each other and see the humanity in
there life. We are making progress and that is something to be
celebrated, because we are beginning to step into realizing that my
ego or this thing that keeps me believing in this creation that I
created, but no body told me I was creating it. As I have often said
there is no difference between Jewish guilt, new thought guilt and
Catholic guilt, they are the same. We have to get off the idea oh I
did a false creation the bad me, no go and sin no more. Don’t create
what you don’t mean anymore. So when you start to look at your life
from that place but wait a minute what does this really mean this is
an experience I am having. This is an experience that I am having;
you are not your spreadsheet. Make a note to self, I am not my
spreadsheet. This is an experience that I am having why because I
came from the light, I put on a coat of skins and I will return to
the light. So this is not me, this is an experience I am having and
if you look inside your experience and you don’t like what you’re
experiencing that’s good news. Most people have the experience of
not knowing or not liking what there experiencing and don’t notice
it They just think that is life, all this suffering, this is life.
This is not life this is an experience that you are having and it
may not be the experience you mean oh oh you mean the source of my
good is in my heritage no? I honor my heritage, I accept my
heritage, I love my heritage, I hope that every good thing I do in
my condition helps not only me but all of my ancestors and all of
the prodigy yet to be born.
I hope that my life has value to everyone, I don’t want it to begin
and end with me, just as in this room I don’t want this experience
to be about me. I don’t want it to begin and end with me, I would
like to be in the dance with you, but it is not about me it is about
us. It is about each one of us, each one of us stepping into the
authority to create, to create what? In the image and likeness of
God create what in the image and likeness of God, whatever it is
that you want!
Now if you’re going to create whatever it is that you want there is
something very important in there, you have got to know what you
want. Do you see it and what I’m saying to you now is that there are
so many souls awakening that the critical mass in humanity the light
workers are waking up, they are claiming there I AM sense, they are
willing to move into creation in a new way and if you said I tried
creation once and it didn’t work it is because you weren’t ready.
Don’t give up on the process, it didn’t go anywhere the principal
didn’t go anywhere; you need to come back to the principal again in
a new way, in your highest level of good. What are your dreams and
do you deserve to have them fulfilled. And if you don’t deserve to
have them fulfilled why because you are not God then who is God? If
you’re not God where do I find it, everyone is God; your deserving
is already given because God has already told you you deserve to be
here. I already know how valuable you are because God is beating
your heart right now in this moment and god the will of God the
cosmos itself and nobody in here knows how to make a liver live and
a kidney kid, not a one of you. Right so it is all God and so if I
can fall back as the ancient Moses said into the underlying arms of
God and begin to create from that affluence, from that flow of God
and simple going this is what I mean and every time you see what you
mean knowing what you mean, every time you have to face a challenge.
This week she was going in and she said she was worried about the
exam I said the one mind knows you trust the mind that you are and
it knows and you are already a citizen and of course she is now a
citizen. Trust yourself you already know, you already have the
wisdom to do what you need to do, but you need to begin to discern
what it is that you want. Do you want to continue on with your
suffering over wealth? That is good seeing and this is now what I
mean, well what would it look like, it would look like I was doing
the thing that I love to do. I was doing something I loved to do and
getting paid well for it, how would that be a way of living your
life. You say well I can’t right now because there is a strike, see
beyond the strike, see yourself on the sets you want to be on, see
yourself in the script you want to have, see yourself in the play of
your own life the way you want it to be and it is not conditioned by
anything over here, nothing. Because this does not have the
authority to hold your vibrations down, only you do. And you have
the authority to raise your vibrations up and so the wealth of God
is I AM creating my life the way I want it. And so the law will take
anything you give it. You say god infinite mind create for me a car,
infinite mind create for me a sexual relationship, infinite mind
create for me a beautiful sunset and mean while infinite mind in all
of its glory is saying just ask, tell me what you want and I will
bring it, all of life is there for the taking and we choose things
and stuff. Help me with this little challenge that is going to go
away by May 31st, Help me with tax day and I say no the affluence of
God is to come into the river, come into the river and say God this
is the colors and textures of my life I want it to be filled with
love and beauty and freedom and opulence. I want to see the glory of
the planet. I want to see the face of humanity in its joy and in its
dance and in its song. I want to see poetry, I want to see light and
love and joy and freedom and peace and harmony and grace and
magnificence but I would not ask for it all at once because your
consciousness is not ready. So I am encouraging you in the Science
of mind for everything, tell God what you want in principal. Tell
god what you want in principal. Today God show me the face of love,
today God show me beauty, today God show me what it is to be
wealthy, today God show me what it is to be in joy, today God show
me what it is to be sexy and invite God to give you not the detail
of a new car but God give me good transportation. Not the detail of
one person, but God show me divine love, start inviting the
principal to receive the qualities of God that you want in your life
and do it every day and I recommend take one handful that way you
wont loose track. Choose one handful of qualities of God everyday
that reflect your idea of wealth. Choose those qualities, I want to
be creative, I want to be immersed, I want, you choose everyday
because how we expand our mental equivalent is daily we meditate on
the glory of the indwelling god, daily we call forth from that glory
what we would want from that glory. And I recommend the qualities of
God and let the law and its infinite mind. It knows how to win what
you want and it knows better than you do because it is already
infinite where as from here you are operating in the finite. The
science of mind for wealth is to know that there is an unlimited
amount of the qualities of God and no matter how much you use them
up, no matter how much you use of infinite joy, how much is left, an
infinite amount It is there for you to claim now and for this
lifetime and for all lifetime and that would be the science of mind
for everything. I invite you to think on these things and together
let us explore the possibilities.
